Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels opened Wednesday's Game 1 against Dallas with 4-for-4 three-point shooting and was the team's top scorer in the end in a 108-105 loss with 24 points. The 23-year-old enjoyed his third consecutive 20-point effort with 9-for-15 shooting, hitting six of his nine attempts from behind the arc. McDaniels' night also included four rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Minnesota's young forward has built himself a reputation as a very good defensive player, and he was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team at the start of the week. But McDaniels has also been on a roll offensively lately thanks to some very sharp three-point shooting, going 12-for-18 from deep across his last three appearances.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels produced a second consecutive 20-point game on Sunday in a Game 7 win against the Nuggets, shooting 7-for-10 from the field en route to 23 points. He was the team's joint top scorer with Karl-Anthony Toews. McDaniels' night included a 3-for-4 effort from downtown, and he completed his line with six rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block. The 23-year-old is more known for his defensive qualities, but McDaniels definitely gave Minnesota a boost in the attacking end in the last couple of games, which helped the team tilt the series in its favor. McDaniels now boasts three 20-point performances in 11 playoff games after having only had seven such outings during the regular season.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels cashed in an ultra-efficient performance in Game 6, which ended in a complete blowout and a Game 7 on the horizon. McDaniels has been a defensive force for this team throughout the playoffs so far and he's thrown in a few big offensive efforts for good measure. In Game 6, McDaniels posted 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting while chipping in four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks. His defensive versatility has been the biggest key to the Timberwolves' engine. McDaniels hasn't been a big offensive producer in the away games in this series, though, so he may not be the best DFS option for Game 7.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels scored a game-high 25 points in Tuesday's win over the Suns. He shot the ball well, going 10-for-17 from the field, and added eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal. The 23-year-old had just nine points in Game 1, which isn't unusual. Yet, with production like this, his popularity will increase heading toward Game 3 on Friday night. However, his rostering cost should also rise after the efficient performance.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels (finger) will play on Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers after being upgraded from questionable to available. He originally injured his finger on Thursday and could only play 19 minutes in a 24-point win over the Milwaukee Bucks. He registered eight points, three rebounds, two blocks, and one turnover in that contest. McDaniels hasn't exactly been the best fantasy asset outside of points and field goal percentage, so he hasn't been viable outside of the deepest leagues. He remains in the starting five though so he does receive plenty of opportunities on a nightly basis and serves as a stronger streaming option when others are out of the lineup.
