Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (finger) is out for Tuesday's meeting with the New Orleans Pelicans. The dislocated left pinky finger that Poeltl suffered in Sunday's win over the Charlotte Hornets will keep him out on Tuesday, and it's not the most promising sign to see him ruled out so far in advance of tip-off. Over the 28-year-old Austrian big man's last 13 games, he ranks as a sixth-round fantasy asset in nine-category leagues with averages of 12.8 points on 60.0% shooting from the field, 9.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 blocks. Poeltl should be deemed day-to-day for now, with his next opportunity to suit up coming on Thursday against the Phoenix Suns. Look for Kelly Olynyk to draw the spot start at centerin a tough matchup against a strong Pelicans defense that ranks seventh in defensive efficiency rating (110.2) in the Association this year.

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) has been added to the injury report as questionable for Monday's game against Washington. The 20-year-old rookie has caught an illness bug, which might force him to miss his seventh game of the season. George has started each of the last eight games with the Jazz, exploding for a couple of 30-point nights. Jordan Clarkson (illness) is poised to return to the lineup and should pick up most of the available minutes if George is out. Talen Horton-Tucker could also benefit in a favorable matchup against a team that gives up a league-high 124.6 points per game.

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons (back) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against Memphis. He will miss a fourth consecutive contest. Simmons' absence has helped Dennis Schroder nail down a starting role, while Dennis Smith Jr. has logged at least 20 minutes off the Nets bench in the last three games Simmons has missed. We should see multiple Brooklyn players shine on Monday, as the team is considered a nine-point favorite against the depleted Grizzlies.

Phoenix Suns guard/forward Devin Booker (ankle) is set to miss 7-10 days of action, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. Booker hurt his right ankle in a game against Houston at the weekend. He was already absent for Sunday's matchup against Oklahoma City and will miss at least three further contests. With Booker out, Bradley Beal received a much larger role offensively on Sunday and responded by leading the team with 31 points. Eric Gordon and Grayson Allen also get a usage boost without Booker, while Royce O'Neale returned to the starting unit against OKC.

Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic had a sensational 31-rebound performance in Sunday's 118-110 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Bosnian big man shook off a neck issue to play 32 minutes in the contest, and he set a new franchise record with his efforts on the glass. It's the most rebounds a player has had in the NBA for 13 years. Nurkic also tallied 14 points for his third double-double in four games and dished out four assists while blocking one shot. The Suns center took full advantage of a favorable matchup, as the Thunder have the fourth-lowest rebounding rate in the league. With him having also recently produced a 22-rebound performance against the Lakers, Nurkic is averaging an incredible 19.0 rebounds per game for his last four outings.
