Naji Marshall Suspended One Game

New Orleans Pelicans forward Naji Marshall will serve a one-game suspension for his involvement in Friday's scuffle with several players of the Miami Heat. The 26-year-old has averaged 7.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 46 games this season, all down from the 2022-23 campaign. As a result, his absence won't impact many fantasy managers, especially if Zion Williamson (foot) and Brandon Ingram (illness) are active for Sunday's matchup with the Chicago Bulls.

Jimmy Butler Suspended

According to TNT's Chris Haynes, the NBA has suspended Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler for his involvement in a scuffle during Friday's meeting with the New Orleans Pelicans. He will miss one game. Butler will be joined by Naji Marshall, Thomas Bryant, Nikola Jovic, and Jose Alvarado, who were also involved in the melee. Although fantasy managers are usually disappointed, it may be a good thing for the veteran to get a night off, especially since he's missed time this season for various reasons. Nonetheless, without Butler on the floor, Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo should get more scoring chances. Additionally, Duncan Robinson, Caleb Martin, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. could see a significant increase in fantasy production.

Trae Young Out At Least A Month

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (finger) will miss at least four weeks. The 25-year-old had been listed as questionable heading into Sunday's meeting with Orlando. However, he was downgraded to out just a few hours later, so many had assumed things weren't looking good. Unfortunately, it was revealed on Sunday that he suffered a ligament tear in his left pinkie and will now undergo surgery on Tuesday. It's not good news for fantasy managers, especially since Young has missed only a handful of games this season. But now that he's out of the equation, Dejounte Murray will presumably take over most of the duties at the one spot while also seeing a bump in usage. There's also room for De'Andre Hunter, who's averaged 20 points in two games without Young active this season, to get more involved on the scoring end. Also, fantasy managers are already anticipating an uptick in production from guys like Bogdan Bogdanovic and Jalen Johnson moving ahead.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Good To Go Sunday

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) will play on Sunday versus Philadelphia. He was listed as probable, so there wasn't much concern regarding his availability. Of course, the multi-time MVP should always be included in every fantasy lineup imaginable. But he has underperformed against the 76ers throughout his career, so he could have a tough time hitting value in DFS setups.

Kenyon Martin Jr. Downgraded On Sunday

Philadelphia 76ers forward Kenyon Martin Jr. (ankle) is now out for Sunday's matchup with the Bucks. He was initially listed as probable on Saturday, so things must have taken a turn in the wrong direction since then. The 23-year-old has averaged 7.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and shot 44.4% from behind the arc in February, his best stretch this season. However, it still hasn't been enough to make him a reliable fantasy contributor. At any rate, Martin's absence could at least allow Ricky Council IV to receive a few more minutes of action, although he's not worth adding to any fantasy roster.
