Marcus Sasser Ruled Out Again Versus Knicks

Detroit Pistons guard Marcus Sasser (knee) has been ruled out for their Monday night matchup against the New York Knicks due to a right knee contusion. The rookie combo guard hurt his knee on Thursday during their game against the Indiana Pacers and then was ruled out for their last game on Saturday. He was a late scratch for that one but was ruled out early for Monday, so it's unclear how much time Sasser may have to miss. Sasser's minutes have been inconsistent so far this year as he's ranged from 37 to 9 over the last few weeks. While he's sidelined, however, Quentin Grimes and Malachi Flynn should receive some extra minutes off of the bench with the former being the better streaming option of the two.

Jonathan Isaac Diagnosed With Left Knee Strain On Sunday

Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac (knee) was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Atlanta Hawks in the first quarter due to a knee injury. The team took some x-rays which came back negative, so they diagnosed him with a left knee strain. Isaac will still undergo an MRI which should give a better picture of the injury and reveal if he'll need to miss extended time. He's had a history of some bad knee injuries throughout his career and has missed two full seasons due to ACL tears. Hopefully, there will be good news to come out of the MRI, but if he does have to miss more time, Caleb Houstan should receive extra opportunities.

Rockets, Tari Eason Seeking Additional Medical Opinions

Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason (leg) is working with the team to get multiple other medical opinions on his leg injury according to head coach Ime Udoka. The 22-year-old hasn't played since January 1 and he's been continually listed on the injury report with "left lower leg injury management." At this point, it seems like the team's doctors aren't exactly sure what's going on with Eason's leg, and it still doesn't feel good enough to practice or take the floor in a game. Now that the season is already creeping into March, further medical opinions may extend Eason's absence into April or maybe even the rest of the season. That official word will come after the doctor visits, so fantasy managers will want to stay tuned. In the meantime, Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore will likely keep receiving additional minutes.

Bilal Coulibaly Injured On Sunday

Washington Wizards forward Bilal Coulibaly (pelvis) was injured during Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers and didn't return to the contest. He got the start in place of Deni Advija (heel), who missed his second consecutive contest. Unfortunately, the rookie lasted just six minutes after suffering a pelvic contusion. Coulibaly was coming off a productive outing in Friday's matchup with OKC, ending the night with 11 points, five boards, and two steals. As a result, he was featured in many fantasy lineups. However, the Wizards may now be without him for at least a few games. That said, the team is certainly hoping Advija will be back soon. Yet, there's a chance Johnny Davis could see more action moving ahead, depending on who's healthy. Jordan Poole, who had a team-high 31 points, could also be in line for more minutes from off the bench.

Ben Simmons Questionable Versus Memphis

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons (leg) is questionable heading into Monday's game versus Memphis. The former 76er was injured on Saturday versus Minnesota, so he was ruled out before the end of the contest. There was some confusion regarding the exact nature of the ailment, with some assuming he was dealing with a left knee injury. However, interim head coach Kevin Ollie set the record straight, reporting Simmons is dealing with general leg soreness. There aren't any plans for him to undergo an MRI at this time, and he's also expected to remain with the Nets for the remainder of the road trip. But with Simmons' extensive injury history, the team won't take any chances if he's not fully healthy. If he's not active, Dennis Schroder and Dennis Smith Jr. would presumably split time at the one.
