Best NBA Total Bet

Boston Celtics vs. Phoenix Suns Under 230.5

(-107, PointsBet)

The Celtics defense has not been as lockdown as it has in the past, but they are still better than league average. The Celtics pace has slowed in the last few games after playing a few that easily sailed past 230. They stayed under 200 against Brooklyn and topped out at 226 vs. Toronto. If Chris Paul is back for the Suns as rumored, that would slow this game down even more. Phoenix will be more efficient with CP3, but they also will counter that efficiency rise with a slower pace to lead to fewer points.

Best NBA Points Prop Bet

Markelle Fultz Over 13.5

(+100, DraftKings Sportsbook)

This opened 12.5 and got bet up everywhere. DK has the best price a 13.5 with even money. It’s as high as -115 on other sites. The big news here is that Markelle Fultz has only played four games. He saw under 20 minutes twice and over 30 in the other two. That is why he is tough to project, but my thought process is that his minutes are going to remain near the higher end as he rounds back into form and maybe even go up. That means we want to look at the production in those games vs. the ones where he played under 20 minutes. Last game was 30-plus minutes, and he sailed past his scoring number with 20 points. I’d expect high teens in at least 30 minutes of action to be the norm.

Best NBA Assist Prop Bet

Josh Giddey Under 6.5 Assists

(-128, FanDuel Sportsbook)

In the last five games, Josh Giddey has only topped this once and just barely with 7 assists. The other four games, Giddey ended up with 4, 5, 1 and 2. His minutes are also down a bit, but not in a bad way. A lot of other players were injured, so he played a bunch of 35- to 40-minute games. That has inflated his numbers.

Best NBA Rebound Prop Bet

Kristaps Porzingis Over 8.5 Rebounds

(-122, FanDuel Sportsbook)

Kristaps Porzingis has been cleaning the glass lately with 19, 11 and 9 rebounds in the last three games. He’s averaging 8.8 per game and projects over 10 in our model for Wednesday.
