While he has been out, guards Ty Jerome and Sam Merrill have had a chance to step up, and Jerome has been especially effective lately, averaging 18.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 25.7 minutes per game over his last five contests. Jerome will be a solid streaming and DFS option for as long as LeVert remains sidelined.

Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (back) has been ruled out for a second consecutive game as the team gears up to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night. Due to back spasms, Capela was a late scratch for Tuesday's contest against the Houston Rockets, and he hasn't recovered in time for Thursday's game. Larry Nance Jr. returned to the rotation on Tuesday, posting six points with a pair of rebounds and steals in 20 minutes off the bench. Mouhamed Gueye, who started at power forward against the Rockets, will also help cover some of the minutes at the five position behind starting center Onyeka Okongwu.

Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (hamstring) is labeled as probable for Thursday's clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Atlanta's star guard has battled through injuries for most of the campaign and is currently experiencing tightness in his right hamstring. However, the probable tag suggests that Young will likely be good to go for Thursday's game. Young has a massive role to play for the playoff-chasing Hawks after Jalen Johnson (shoulder) was ruled out for the rest of the season. One of Young's three 20-20 games came against Cleveland on Nov. 27, and he has averaged 20.5 points and 16.5 assists in the matchup this season.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Atlanta Hawks forwardJalen Johnson(shoulder) will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will miss the rest of the season. The 23-year-old was having the best season of his career, averaging 18.9 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.6 steals before suffering the injury. Players likeKeaton Wallace, Vit Krejci, De'Andre Hunter and Bogdan Bogdanovic could also see a bump in fantasy production with Johnson out.

Jerome has been a strong stretch lately, averaging 16.0 points with 48.1 percent three-point shooting in the five games LeVert has missed. Merrill struggles with his shooting, having hit only 32.7 percent of his field-goal attempts this month, and has not made the same impact.
