Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (illness) will miss the team's Friday matchup with the Heat in Miami. The star point guard will miss his first game since December 8th, where Bogdan Bogdanovic moved into the starting lineup, and Patty Miles saw increased run off the bench. Wesley Matthews (calf) has also been ruled out for Atlanta, meaning Garrison Matthews could see some minutes as he's played at least 13 minutes in each of the last six games Matthews missed. Young will look to recover tonight and return to action against Cleveland on Saturday.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Caris LeVert (wrist) is listed as questionable ahead of Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. LeVert finds himself on the injury report due to right wrist soreness. He looked fine during his 30 minutes of playing time against the Chicago Bulls on Monday. The expectation is that LeVert will play, but fantasy managers will have to check back for another update. The Cavs would likely use a committee approach between Sam Merrill, Craig Porter Jr. and Emoni Bates. Merrill might have some deep league value with an expanded role in the rotation.

San Antonio Spurs forward Dominick Barlow will move into the starting five ahead of Saturday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The Spurs are without star center Victor Wembanyama (rest) during the second game of this back-to-back set. Barlow should see decent playing time with Zach Collins (ankle) also sidelined on Saturday. Barlow is worth a look as a streaming option with the Spurs shorthanded during this game. However, his fantasy value isn't likely to last longer than Saturday's game.

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (calf) is expected to play on Saturday against the Washington Wizards. The 25-year-old has been on and off the injury report this season. However, he hasn't missed a game in over a month. Still, if the calf contusion keeps him off the floor, Dejounte Murray (hamstring) would likely handle things at the one. But Murray is questionable, so if he isn't available, Trent Forrest and Patty Mills could see more minutes. On the other hand, Jalen Johnson, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Saddiq Bey would presumably lead the way on the scoring end.

Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (Achilles) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Capela will hit the seats due to soreness in his right Achilles, and it will be his first missed action since Dec. 16. The Swiss big man will target a return when Atlanta continues a five-game homestand on Friday versus the Indiana Pacers. As for Wednesday, Onyeka Okongwu should man the middle as the direct fantasy beneficiary of Capela's absence in a rather favorable matchup against a Joel Embiid-less Sixers team. In 18 games without Capela since 2022-23, Okongwu has averaged 10.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks in 32.6 minutes and deserves be a very popular play from a DFS perspective in an amplified role.
