The Chicago Cubs have officially signed free-agent relief pitcher Genesis Cabrera to an undisclosed major-league contract. Cabrera was designated for assignment by the New York Mets after posting a 3.52 ERA across six appearances. The Cubs are in desperate need of left-handed help out of the bullpen. It sounds like Cabrera will be available out of the Cubs bullpen as early as Friday. In a corresponding move, right-hander Brooks Kriske was designated for assignment by the organization.

Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk is back in the starting lineup ahead of Thursday's game against the Athletics. Kirk will make his way back into the lineup after receiving a rest day on Wednesday. He did come into Wednesday's game as a pinch-hitter, but went hitless in his lone at-bat. Now, Kirk will return behind the plate and bat in the cleanup spot against left-hander Jacob Lopez. Fantasy managers can go ahead and get Kirk back in their lineup ahead of first pitch.

Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette (back) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Thursday's game against the A's. Bichette was out of the starting lineup on Wednesday due to back tightness. Despite that, Bichette didn't get a full game off as he came in as a pinch hitter and hit a two-run home run. The 27-year-old has been in an ugly slump lately, but hopefully that will help him get back on track. He'll return to shortstop and serve as the leadoff hitter versus left-hander Jacob Lopez on Thursday.

Updating a previous report, Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette (back) is out of Wednesday's starting lineup against the hosting Texas Rangers due to lower-back tightness that he's been battling for a little bit, according to Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling. It's also why Bichette was the designated hitter on Tuesday. The Blue Jays consider Bichette to be day-to-day, and he could be available off the bench on Wednesday, depending on how he feels throughout the game. Ernie Clement is at the 6 and is hitting sixth against Rangers right-hander Tyler Mahle. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Thursday to see if Bichette is back in action in the series opener against the Athletics. Bichette has one hit in his last 21 plate appearances over five games with two walks and a strikeout, so it might be a good time to get him a little extra rest. He's hitting .270/.319/.391 overall with only four homers and four steals.

Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk will head to the bench ahead of Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers. Kirk will sit this game out after starting in the first two games of the series. He went 2-for-6 with an RBI during the first two contests. Ali Sanchez will cover behind the plate and bat eighth versus right-hander Tyler Mahle on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups ahead of first pitch. Kirk figures to be back in the lineup on Thursday.
