The San Francisco Giants optioned outfielder Marco Luciano and reassigned infielder Bryce Eldridge to minor-league camp on Wednesday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser. Per MLB Pipeline, Eldridge is considered the Giants' top prospect in 2025. Additionally, the Giants optioned right-hander Mason Black (No. 12) and reassigned left-handers Raymond Burgos, Miguel Del Pozo and Ethan Small, and right-handers Kai-Wei Teng and Cole Waites to minor-league camp. After being moved from shortstop to the outfield this spring, the 23-year-old Luciano will open the year at Triple-A Sacramento after going only 2-for-19 in spring training. If he's back in San Fran in 2025, it will likely be in a reserve outfield role. Eldridge, 20, went 2-for-11 with a homer and two RBI in eight spring games. While he's certainly stash-worthy in dynasty leagues, given his age, he definitely could use more minor-league seasoning.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos (oblique) made his spring training debut on Tuesday. Ramos went 0-for-2 at the plate with a walk. Ramos was dealing with a minor oblique injury during the start of camp. However, seeing him make his debut in left field suggests he is past this injury and will not face any restrictions by Opening Day. The 25-year-old is expected to be the team's everyday left fielder in 2025. Ramos appeared in just 34 contests during the 2022 and 2023 but saw a drastic increase in playing time in 2024 as he logged 121 contests. Ramos posted a .269/.322/.469 slash line with 23 doubles and 22 long balls. He generated an elite .481 xSLG with a 47.5 percent hard-hit rate. However, he drew walks at a low 7.1 percent rate and struck out at a high 26.1 percent rate. Rams carries intriguing power-power upside heading into 2025.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos (oblique) is expected to return on Tuesday. Ramos suffered an oblique injury last week. The outfielder has begun hitting off a tee and has not faced any setbacks. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progress leading up to his return. After appearing in just 34 MLB contests during his first two seasons, Ramos logged a career-high 121 games in 2024. During this stint, the slugger launched 22 home runs with a .269/.322/.469 slash line. He swiped six bags and tallied 72 RBI. Under the hood, he generated an elite 14.5 percent barrel rate and a 47.5 percent hard-hit rate. He also placed in the 90th percentile in bat speed. When healthy, fantasy managers should expect Ramos to have an everyday role in left field and typically bat in the top half of the lineup.

San Francisco Giants left-handed pitcher Erik Miller (illness) was unable to throw his live bullpen session on Saturday due to an illness. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status but should not expect him to miss an extended period of time. The southpaw has been dealing with a finger injury throughout camp but could be nearing his spring debut once he recovers from this illness. The 27-year-old made his MLB debut last summer and held a 3.88 ERA with a 1.31 WHIP across 67 1/3 innings of work. He tallied an impressive 87 punchouts and generated an elite 51.9 percent ground ball rate. However, Miller showed weak command of his pitches as he held a hefty 13.4 percent walk rate. When healthy, fantasy managers should expect Miller to compete for a high-leverage role in the San Francisco bullpen.

San Francisco Giants pitcher Keaton Winn (elbow) appears to be a name being discussed as a possible starting rotation option. Winn started 12 games for the Giants last season before suffering a nerve issue in his elbow that ended his season. The right-hander has been throwing in spring training, but hasn't actually played in any contests. Winn posted an ugly 7.12 ERA with a 1.37 WHIP during his 12 starts last season. He wasn't exactly a solid option in the rotation, but it seems like the team is willing to give him another chance. If not, Winn might move into a long relief role or swingman out of the bullpen. Fantasy managers can use a wait-and-see approach here.
