San Diego Padres infielder Luis Arraez went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI, and four runs scored in Tuesday's 11-1 win over the Dodgers. Arraez's slash line in 2025 now sits at .281/.314/.405 with three home runs, 25 RBI, three stolen bases, and 31 runs scored. Arraez is a career .319 hitter and a three-time batting title winner in his now sixth MLB season, so fantasy managers should expect him to pick it up as we get into the heart of the baseball season. Arraez continues to bat at the top of the order in an offense that features Fernando Tatis Jr., Manny Machado, and Jackson Merrill. Look for him to continue to be a reliable asset in most formats. He ranks in the 100th percentile in whiff rate and strikeout percentage, making him a dependable player who can put the ball in play and score a lot of runs if hitters behind him are driving him in.

San Diego Padres first baseman Luis Arraez (knee) is serving as the designated hitter for the Friars and is batting second in Friday's series opener on the road in Milwaukee against Brewers right-hander Chad Patrick. Arraez was pulled in Thursday's loss to the San Francisco Giants due to posterior knee soreness, but the 28-year-old two-time batting champion is back in the fold a day later. Gavin Sheets is starting at first base on Friday night and will hit fifth in the batting order. Arraez doesn't really help in fantasy besides providing a high average, as he has very little speed and power. However, with the shortest swing in the league, he still makes tons of contact and is currently batting .282 (62-for-22) with three homers, 21 RBI, 25 runs scored and two steals in 55 games. With an xBA of just .274, though, this could be the first time since 2021 that Arraez doesn't hit over .300 on the year.

San Diego Padres first baseman Luis Arraez (knee) is being considered day-to-day by manager Mike Shildt after he was pulled from Thursday's 3-2 loss to the division-rival San Francisco Giants due to posterior knee soreness. Arraez injured his knee running to first base in the sixth inning and was replaced in the bottom of the frame by Jake Cronenworth, who shifted over from second base. Before leaving, the 28-year-old two-time batting champion went 1-for-3 at the plate with a single and a run scored. Fantasy managers will want to check back to see if Arraez is able to play in Friday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers. Cronenworth would likely see most of the action at first if Arraez ends up missing more time, with Jose Iglesias and Tyler Wade being options at the keystone. While Arraez still squares the ball up better than anyone in the league with his short stroke, he is a liability everywhere else in fantasy.
