Arraez continues to bat at the top of the order in an offense that features Fernando Tatis Jr., Manny Machado, and Jackson Merrill. Look for him to continue to be a reliable asset in most formats. He ranks in the 100th percentile in whiff rate and strikeout percentage, making him a dependable player who can put the ball in play and score a lot of runs if hitters behind him are driving him in.

With an xBA of just .274, though, this could be the first time since 2021 that Arraez doesn't hit over .300 on the year.

Fantasy managers will want to check back to see if Arraez is able to play in Friday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers. Cronenworth would likely see most of the action at first if Arraez ends up missing more time, with Jose Iglesias and Tyler Wade being options at the keystone. While Arraez still squares the ball up better than anyone in the league with his short stroke, he is a liability everywhere else in fantasy.

Not only are the Padres facing a left-handed pitcher, but the 28-year-old two-time batting champion could use a mental day off after going hitless in his last 12 at-bats in the three-game series against the Atlanta Braves. Neither Cronenworth nor Iglesias are particularly attractive DFS options against Weathers on Monday night. Cronenworth hit his fourth homer of the year on Sunday but is batting .208 (5-for-24) with one of his four long balls on the year against lefties.

After another slow start in the first week-plus of the season, the 28-year-old Arraez has recovered and is now slashing .287/.330/.425 with three homers, seven RBI, two steals and nine runs. Arraez doesn't offer much outside of a high batting average.
