Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Josh Naylor went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer on Monday night against the Pirates, helping to power his team to a 5-0 victory. Naylor's home run came against lefty Andrew Heaney and gives him six on the season to go with his .287 batting average and .348 wOBA. It was his first home run of the year off a southpaw, but he has been thriving against right-handed pitching with a .313 average and .381 wOBA in the split. He isn't quite an elite option at the position, but he can be a solid option at first base in almost all formats since he's in an everyday role with Arizona and has posted fairly strong numbers across the board with the potential to improve as the summer goes on.

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Josh Naylor had a productive evening in his team's 10-6 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday. Naylor went 2-for-5 with a homer, four RBI, and a stolen base in the loss. The veteran infielder blasted a 413-foot two-run homer in the ninth inning to pull the Diamondbacks to within four runs. Naylor is now hitting .296 with five homers, 21 runs, 27 RBI, and seven steals across 159 at-bats in his first season with Arizona. His blend of power and speed makes him a high-end fantasy first baseman.

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Josh Naylor will take his first day off of the season in Tuesday's contest against the New York Mets at Citi Field. Pavin Smith is getting the start at first base and will hit seventh against Mets left-hander David Peterson. Naylor will get a long overdue day of rest on Tuesday in New York. The 27-year-old left-handed slugger has made a nice first impression in his first year in the desert in 2025, slashing .318/.388/.505 with an .893 OPS, four long balls, 19 RBI, four stolen bases and 15 runs scored over his first 107 at-bats. He's gone 4-for-19 in his last five games, but he is coming off a three-hit performance in Sunday's series finale against the Atlanta Braves. Smith is hitting .333 (23-for-69) on the year and has hit .750 in four career at-bats against Peterson, but he's hitless in just three at-bats against lefties this year and is a poor DFS choice on Tuesday.
