Joe Ryan to Pitch in Suspended Game on Wednesday

Minnesota Twins right-hander Joe Ryan will pitch when Monday's suspended game against the division-rival Cleveland Guardians resumes on Wednesday at Target Field, according to The Athletic's Dan Hayes. Right-hander Chris Paddack will then take the ball in the regularly scheduled game on Wednesday, weather permitting. The first game on Wednesday between the Twins and Guardians will resume in the fourth inning with the Twins up 2-1, so Ryan will have an even better shot at picking up a win in this one. Although he won't be able to go quite as deep in this outing as a normal game, fantasy managers should still throw him in their starting lineups against a Guardians team that currently ranks 21st in baseball with a .686 team OPS. Ryan has been great for his fantasy managers in 2025, going 4-2 with a 2.42 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 63 punchouts in 52 innings over his nine starts.

Joe Ryan Shuts Down Brewers to Earn Fourth Win in 2025

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan (4-2) dominated the Milwaukee Brewers in Friday's 3-0 victory, blanking them over six innings and picking up his fourth win of the year. Ryan led the Twins to their 12th consecutive victory, allowing only two hits and a walk while striking out nine. The 28-year-old is putting together a remarkable season so far as his 0.79 WHIP ranks second in baseball among starting pitchers. He lowered his season ERA to 2.42 with a dominant 63:6 K:BB ratio. Ryan is currently slated to make his next start on Wednesday at home against the Guardians.

Joe Ryan Excels In Win Over Giants

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan let up two hits and one earned run over six innings pitched in Saturday's 2-1 win against the San Francisco Giants. He struck out seven batters and walked none in the quality start, improving to 3-2 on the year. The San Francisco native was stellar in his eighth start, able to retire every batter he faced except Heliot Ramos, who accounted for both hits (single, homer) against him. Otherwise, the 28-year-old was locked in and has now recorded three straight appearances allowing one or fewer earned runs and four straight with one or fewer free passes. He'll carry a sterling 2.74 ERA and 0.87 WHIP (46 innings) with an efficient 54:5 K:BB ratio into his next outing against the Milwaukee Brewers.
