Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Brady Singer threw seven shutout innings on Friday and picked up the win in the Royals' 6-0 win over the Chicago Cubs. Singer struck out five and allowed just two hits while lowering his ERA to 2.82 on the season. The 27-year-old continues to excel with the Royals as Friday marked his third start of the season of seven shutout innings. The righty may be due for negative regression soon as his 4.80 ERA suggests he's overperforming, but Singer continues to get results with a reliance on soft contact. Fantasy managers should continue to have confidence in the right-hander for a least a little longer. He'll get another tasty matchup in his next scheduled start when he heads to Chicago to face the White Sox next Wednesday.
The Kansas City Royals pitcher Brady Singer earned a win over the Chicago White Sox Saturday, striking out seven over seven scoreless innings. Over his last four starts, he is 2-2 with a 2.49 ERA, a 1.38 WHIP and 21 strikeouts in 21 innings. On the season Singer is now 6-6 with a 3.00 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP and 106 strikeouts over 111 innings. The veteran right-hander will make his next start Friday night against the Chicago Cubs.
Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Brady Singer was excellent Sunday, tossing seven one-run innings and picking up the win in a 10-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies. Singer gave up six hits and two walks while punching out seven in this one. The 27-year-old has been excellent over his past four starts, allowing one run in each of them while going at least five frames. The Royals have limited his pitch count in those outings, but fantasy managers will take that if it means he is throwing quality innings. He isn't a must-start option, but in the right matchups he should be in consideration for a lineup spot.
Kansas City Royals right-hander Brady Singer (illness) was scratched from his scheduled start on Thursday against the Minnesota Twins due to an illness. In a corresponding move, the team recalled left-hander Daniel Lynch from Triple-A Omaha and optioned right-hander Carlos Hernandez to Omaha. Lynch will serve as the emergency spot starter for the Royals on Thursday. The 27-year-old Singer should be able to take his next turn in the starting rotation, but fantasy managers will want to monitor the situation. Even if Singer does make his next start, he could be a little more risky in fantasy lineups his next time out. The former 18th overall pick in 2018 out of Florida so far is having the best season of his career, going 4-2 with a 2.63 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with a 64:19 K:BB in 61 2/3 innings over his 11 starts. For a resurgent and young Royals squad, Singer has been a must-roster in all fantasy leagues.
Kansas City Royals right-hander Brady Singer will aim to stay consistent when he takes on the hosting Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday. The 27-year-old has allowed just one earned run in four of his last five outings and two earned runs or fewer in eight of his 10 starts on the season. Add it up and Singer has tossed a 2.70 ERA across 10 starts and 56 2/3 innings of work on the season while going 4-2 in the process. It's a nice bounceback for the righty as Singer scuffled to a 5.52 ERA and a diminished 18.9% K% in 2023. The punchouts have jumped to a healthy 26.1% clip in the 2024 campaign, the highest single-season mark of his career. The Rays have some swing and miss in their game as they sit 24th with a 24.2% K% on the season.
