2024 Team Stats

Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Hayes will get a routine rest day after playing in nine straight games. During that time, Hayes struggled with a .229 batting average and two RBI. He could use a day off to get himself back on track. Jared Triolo will cover the hot corner and bat eighth versus right-hander Ryne Nelson. Hayes should be back in the lineup after this game.

Pittsburgh Pirates infielder/outfielder Ji Hwan Bae (knee) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He'll make his return to the lineup after missing four games due to knee soreness. He'll bat seventh and cover center field versus right-hander Ryne Nelson. Bae has been quiet with the bat during his 13 games with the team. Fantasy managers should be able to find better production elsewhere.

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen (quad) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Unsurprisingly, McCutchen will take a seat after exiting early on Saturday due to tightness in his quad. For now, McCutchen is considered as day-to-day, but that could change. Bryan De La Cruz will play in right field while Joey Bart serves as the designated hitter versus right-hander Ryne Nelson on Sunday. Fantasy managers who have McCutchen rostered should get him out of their lineups ahead of first pitch.

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and his 19th home run of the season on Saturday, a two-run blast in the sixth inning that broke a 1-1 tie, with the Pirates eventually winning 4-2 over the Diamondbacks. After a relatively slow start to the season. the 29-year-old has turned it on since June 1, slashing .332/.396/.582 with nine doubles, two triples, and 12 home runs in 49 games. The switch-hitter now owns a .287-19-65-51-6 line with a .362 wOBA and 134 wRC+ on the season and should continue to be a solid contributor for fantasy.

Pittsburgh Pirates designated hitter Andrew McCutchen exited Saturday's contest against the Diamondbacks early due to left quad tightness. According to the Pirates, the move was precautionary and he is considered day-to-day, however, it seems like a rest day on Sunday would be in order for the 37-year-old veteran so keep an eye on his status if you're counting on him on your fantasy squad.
