Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler put up another strong start against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, striking out six batters across seven innings of one-run ball on five hits and three walks for his seventh win of the year. Make it four quality starts in a row for Wheeler, who's now reached double figures with 10 in this category this year. The 34-year-old fantasy stalwart will bring a sensational 2.23 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 91:26 K:BB over 13 starts (80 2/3 innings) into his next scheduled start, which doesn't line up until next Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox with the Phillies headed to London this weekend. Wheeler is a matchup-proof fantasy play each time he takes the mound.

Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez (hand) is doing better and will play catch on Tuesday before throwing a bullpen session on Wednesday. If he comes out of his bullpen on Wednesday no worse for wear, he'll be in play for the London series this weekend against the division-rival New York Mets. The 28-year-old southpaw only went two innings in his last start on Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals and had to leave early after taking a line-drive comebacker off his left hand. The good news is that X-rays came back negative, so Suarez may not have to miss a start at all. With extra off days coming up, the Phillies could elect to play it safe and push Suarez back. Even though he'll be more of a risk in his next start coming off the injury, Suarez has been one of the best pitchers in the league in 2024. We're not going to recommend sitting a pitcher that's been as good as he has.

Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Dylan Covey (hamstring, shoulder), who is dealing with a right-shoulder strain, had started to play catch but tweaked his hamstring while rehabbing. He is back in Clearwater, Fla., where he is shut down for the time being. Covey has not pitched since his final Grapefruit League appearance on March 1 in spring training and was transferred to the 60-day injured list on Saturday. The 32-year-old veteran was the fourth-round pick by the Oakland Athletics in 2013 out of the University of San Diego. Covey debuted in 2017 with the Chicago White Sox and spent the first three years of his career in the Windy City. In 29 appearance (one start) with the Dodgers and Phillies in 2023, he had a 3.77 ERA and 1.51 WHIP with 17 walks and 30 K's in 43 innings pitched. Covey still has a ways to go before being an option in Philly's bullpen this year.

The Philadelphia Phillies placed outfielder Brandon Marsh (hamstring) and infielder Kody Clemens (back) on the 10-day injured list on Monday and recalled outfielders Weston Wilson and David Dahl from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in corresponding moves. Marsh strained his right hamstring in Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Cardinals and was removed in the eighth inning. Clemens was scratched from Sunday's lineup with back spasms and was replaced in the lineup by utility man Whit Merrifield. Both players will now miss at least the next 10 days of action as they heal up. Dahl is starting in left field and will bat seventh on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Both he and Merrifield will battle for playing time in Philly's outfield with Marsh out.UPDATE: Marsh and Clemens have "very mild" injuries, according to manager Rob Thomson.

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh (hamstring) left Sunday's 5-4 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals with a right-hamstring strain. Marsh sustained the injury by rounding second base during the bottom of the eighth inning but was able to walk off under his power. He went 1-for-3 with a walk before leaving the game. The 26-year-old will undergo further evaluation on his injured hamstring and is considered day-to-day. Marsh is hitting .265/.344/.426 with six homers, 26 RBI, and 20 runs scored over 52 games. Cristian Pache replaced Marsh in Sunday's game and could see an uptick in at-bats if Marsh were to miss time. Pache is not on the fantasy radar after slashing .216/.305/.275 with eight RBI over 24 games this season.
