Bryan Reynolds Goes Yard

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's Grapefruit League action versus the Toronto Blue Jays. The home run would be his fourth of the spring and he now has six RBI. The power has been there for the 29-year-old this spring, but other than that, he has hit a lowly .190 in 42 at-bats. It's never a bad thing when half your hits go over the wall, so it is a strong sign to see Reynolds has been producing power. Despite the low average, managers should read too much into as Reynolds has been as steady as they come in the outfield for managers in all formats. With a career batting average and .277 and 20 or more homers in three straight seasons, Reynolds is worth the price tag of his ADP of 80,

Ricky Tiedemann Records Five Strikeouts

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitching prospect Ricky Tiedemann tossed three innings and allowed one hit, one run and two walks while striking out five on Thursday versus the Pittsburgh Pirates in Grapefruit League action. Tiedemann, 21, was competing for a rotation spot, but with Thursday's announcement that Bowden Francis has won the fifth spot in the rotation, Tiedemann will be ticketed to begin the year at Triple-A Buffalo. The right-hander is one of the best pitching prospects in the game but has been limited in his young career with the injury bug. In two seasons, the left-hander has a career 2.71 ERA with 199 strikeouts in 122 2/3 innings (33 starts), with his highest level being Triple-A. Tiedemann has risen through the system and should absolutely be an option for the Blue Jays in 2023. His talent is too much to hide on the farm, and a strong start on the farm might force the Blue Jays to bring his talent to the big leagues. With enormous strikeout potential, Tiedemann is worth stashing in redraft leagues and should be rostered in all dynasty leagues.

Julio Rodriguez Enjoying A Strong Spring

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez went 0-for-1 with a pair of walks on Thursday versus the Cincinnati Reds in Cactus League action. The 23-year-old has been having a great spring and is hitting .417 with a homer, five RBI and one stolen base in just 24 at-bats. Rodriguez backed up his stellar rookie season with another strong campaign in 2023 and continues to ascend as one of the best baseball players in the world. With his ability to help with big numbers across the board, he can safely be one of the first players off the board in upcoming drafts as he should continue to add to already impressive resume.

Bobby Witt Jr. Having Huge Spring

Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. has been having a tremendous Cactus League this spring. The talented 23-year-old is coming off a strong season that saw him hit .276 with 30 homers, 96 RBI and 49 stolen bases. This spring, he's picked up where he left off and has hit .372 with three homers, eight RBI and a stolen base in 43 at-bats. Witt enters this season as one of the most talented players both in real life and for fantasy purposes with his all-around skills. Still entering the prime of his career, Witt should make managers giddy over all he can do and is absolutely worth snagging as one of the first picks in upcoming drafts.

Nico Hoerner Struggling In Cactus League

Chicago Cubs second baseman Nico Hoerner has had a rough go of it in the Cactus League thus far. The second baseman has had 41 at-bats, but just two runs and three RBI to go along with six hits. Hoerner, 26, is coming off another strong campaign for the Cubs and finished 2023 with nine homers, 68 RBI and 43 stolen bases in 150 games. He also hit a healthy .283 with a .729 OPS. It's always a risk to read too much into Spring Training results with proven commodities and despite Hoerner's tough time this spring, managers should have no hesitation about grabbing him in upcoming drafts. His ADP of 60 is high, but his position and ability to help across the board provide managers with good value.
