Washington Nationals relief pitcher Kyle Finnegan secured his 12th save of the season in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Guardians. He entered the game with a two-run lead and was able to shut the door after allowing one run on two singles and a sacrifice fly. It wasn't a flawless inning by any means, and Finnegan isn't the most dominant reliever with 15 strikeouts and seven walks through 14 innings this season, but he is a saves machine. He is now tied for second in the major leagues in saves this season after posting 38 of them in 2024. As long as he continues to save games at this rate, he is a valuable asset for fantasy.

Washington Nationals outfielder James Wood launched a two-run home run and walked once in a 10-9 win over the Guardians in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader. The youngster is in the midst of a breakout season, as he is slashing .273/.380/.554 with 10 home runs, 23 RBI, 22 runs, and five stolen bases in 36 games. He has already surpassed his 2024 home run total of nine in 79 games and is over a third of the way to the 14 stolen bases he produced. He looks to be an all-around contributor at only 22 years old and could be a top-10 fantasy outfielder for years to come.

Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Yandy Diaz (leg) left Tuesday's game in the sixth inning due to an apparent leg injury. He seemed to tweak something swinging at a pitch in the sixth inning, and left the game while gesturing toward his right leg. More details regarding the specifics of the injury should be available after the game. Diaz was enjoying a nice night at the plate, launching a two-run home run in the fourth inning that was his fifth of the season.UPDATE: Manager Kevin Cash said the team thinks Diaz is OK and will play on Wednesday. Diaz was pulled early because his right hip tightened up on him.
