Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout said that he's happy in Anaheim right now, but he also left open the possibility that he'd be open to a trade down the line. Trout also said he's been pushing ownership to make more additions heading into the 2024 regular season, but he's unsure if will actually happen. General manager Perry Minasian said this winter that the Angels have no interest in trading the 32-year-old future Hall of Famer. The Angels have wasted one of the best players of all time, as Trout has made only one postseason appearance in his 13 big-league seasons. The three-time American League MVP has been hurt by injuries in recent seasons. He played in just 82 games in 2023 and has become a big injury risk on the wrong side of 30. Still, when healthy, Trout has the ability to be a difference-maker in everything but stolen bases.

Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Kevin Ginkel (elbow) was able to play catch on Sunday without any issues. The right-hander began experiencing elbow soreness towards the beginning of February. The D-Backs might play it safe for a little bit, but Ginkel should be fine going forward. Last season, Ginkel posted a 2.48 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 70/23 K/BB ratio across 65 1/3 innings. The right-hander could pick up a handful of saves, but probably won't be the primary ninth-inning option.

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Randal Grichuk (ankle) is hopeful to be ready by Opening Day. The veteran outfielder had bone chips removed from his ankle in January. He recently signed a one-year deal with the D-Backs. It sounds like the 32-year-old is going to need a couple of weeks before he's ready to play again. Last season, Grichuk hit .267/.321/.459 with 16 home runs, 44 RBI between the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Angels. He'll probably end up as a fourth outfielder, but he should get fairly regular at-bats in Arizona.

The Baltimore Orioles have acquired left-handed reliever Matt Krook from the New York Yankees for cash considerations. Krook was designated for assignment earlier this week by New York but it didn't take long for him to find a new home. He is 29 years old and has limited major league experience (24.75 ERA in 4 career innings). However, he's been sharp in the minor leagues and will likely find his way into the Orioles bullpen at some point this season. Baltimore designated utility man Diego Castillo to make room on their 40-man roster.

Los Angeles Angels relief pitcher Jose Quijada (elbow) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list. The 28-year-old reliever underwent Tommy John surgery last May and will miss the majority of the 2024 season. He's got a shot to make it back late in the second half of the year but even when he does come back, he's not on the fantasy radar. Quijada owns a career 4.89 ERA over 108 2/3 career innings.
