Baltimore Orioles first baseman Ryan Mountcastle put together a strong day at the plate during Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals. This offense wasn't able to do much, but Mountcastle was still able to have a successful game. He went 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and a run scored in what ended up being a 4-1 loss. Mountcastle has been red-hot as he's 5-for-9 over his last two games. The O's are loaded with talented hitters, so it's unclear if Mountcastle will really be an everyday player anymore. However, the O's can't bench him if he continues to hit like he has early in the season. Mountcastle isn't a must-have fantasy player, but he certainly has opened some eyes with his performances lately.

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Kris Bubic made easy work of the Baltimore Orioles during Sunday's contest. The southpaw carried his success from the season opener into this game. He tossed 6 2/3 innings, allowing one run, while striking out eight batters in the win. Bubic did allow five hits, but the O's hitters weren't able to do much with the runners. He has been showing good control with his secondary pitches, so continuing to do that will be crucial for him. Bubic is well worth a look as a streaming option for his next start against the Cleveland Guardians.

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio had a huge day at the plate in an 8-2 win over the Reds, hitting two homers and driving in five runs. The former top prospect started the season very cold but is now starting to turn things around. He is slashing .295/.289/.591 with three home runs, nine RBI, and six runs. He is looking to build off of his excellent rookie season where he hit .275 with 21 homers and 22 steals in 148 games. The youngster has a mix of power and speed that is extremely rare and could be a first-round draft pick in fantasy by 2026.

Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Zac Veen is expected to be promoted to the major-league roster on Tuesday, with outfielder Jordan Beck being optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque. It was a surprise when Veen didn't make the team on Opening Day after slashing .270/.352/.460 with two home runs and nine stolen bases in 71 plate appearances this spring, but now he is finally getting his chance. In 2024, he hit .258 with 11 home runs and 21 steals in 65 minor league games and is an intriguing young prospect who will play half of his games at Coors Field. He had a hot start in Triple-A to begin the season, batting .444 through seven games, and he'll hope to carry that moment into the big leagues. He's worth a speculative add in case he finds his footing quickly, as his skill set is very fantasy-friendly.

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Ivan Herrera (knee) will require a trip to the injured list, according to manager Oliver Marmol. Herrera left the first game of Sunday's doubleheader with a knee injury after running the bases, and he has been officially diagnosed with left knee inflammation. Test results showed no structural damage, but the catcher will still need some time to recover. This is unfortunate news for someone who was extremely hot at the dish, slashing .400/.455/1.100 in the early going of 2025. He's worth stashing if you have an open IL spot in fantasy, as it looked like a true breakout season was coming for the young hitter.
