Spencer Torkelson Smacks Game-Winning Hit

Detroit Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson was struggling at the plate, but he came up clutch for his team during this game. Torkelson was hitless with one strikeout until he came up in the ninth inning. He smacked a two-RBI double to help give his team the lead in the final frame. It seemed like coming into this season that the Tigers were nearly ready to give up on the former first-overall pick. So far, Torkelson is slashing .324/.439/.618 with two homers and six RBI in the first nine games. He'll likely continue to pick up steam on the waiver wire, assuming his hot streak at the plate continues.

Jackson Jobe Looks Improved On Sunday

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jackson Jobe looked better on the mound than he did for his season debut. Jobe tossed five innings, allowing two earned runs, three walks, and striking out four batters in the no-decision. The 22-year-old still struggled with his command, but luckily he was facing a subpar White Sox lineup. Jobe would've been handed the loss if his team didn't come back in the ninth inning. Jobe has a ton of potential and appears to be heading in the right direction. However, he's far from a must-start during his next start against the Minnesota Twins.

Edwin Diaz Secures Another Save

New York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Diaz was called upon to hold a one-run lead against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. The right-hander had no issues as he tossed a scoreless ninth inning to record his second save of the season. Diaz needed only 10 pitches to finish off three batters as he allowed zero baserunners. It's nice to see Diaz settling down after he struggled with his command during spring training. Fantasy managers can continue safely plugging Diaz into their lineups on a daily basis.

Carlos Estevez Picks Up Second Save

Kansas City Royals relief pitcher Carlos Estevez was ready to redeem himself after struggling on the mound during his last outing. Estevez was called upon to hold a three-run lead against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. The 32-year-old didn't have any issues as he tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout to secure his second save of the season. It appears that Estevez is going to be the primary option for saves this season. However, Lucas Erceg could be a candidate as well if Estevez finds himself in trouble at some point. For now, Estevez should be a viable option for saves in fantasy formats where that matters.

Bobby Witt Jr. Has Three-Hit Day

Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. was a tough out at the plate during Sunday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. Witt went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, and run scored in the victory over the O's. This marked Witt's first three-hit game of the season and it likely won't be his last. Witt has collected a hit in every game, but one so far this season. The 24-year-old is one of the best hitters in the league and should make a case for MVP this season. He hasn't been an elite fantasy option early in the season, but this game could be Witt finally turning the corner.
