Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said that All-Star second baseman Ketel Marte (hamstring) is likely headed to the injured list after straining his left hamstring while rounding the bases in Friday's 6-4 win over the Washington Nationals. The 31-year-old strained his hamstring in the first inning after hitting what would have been an easy triple off right-hander Jake Irvin. Marte eventually limped off the field and probably will need to miss more than the next 10 days as he rehabs his injured hamstring. Garrett Hampson replaced Marte as a pinch-runner and at second base and should see most of the playing time at the keystone moving forward with Marte on the shelf. It's a tough break for Arizona to lose one of their best all-around players after just signing him to a six-year, $116 million extension this week. Keep Marte stashed in all fantasy leagues.

Miami Marlins right-hander Eury Perez (elbow) threw a bullpen session before the team's game against the division-rival Atlanta Braves at Truist Park on Friday, according to MLB.com's Christina De Nicola. Back in Miami, pitchers Declan Cronin (hip) and Jesus Tinoco (back) also threw bullpens. Perez is working his way back from Tommy John surgery in April of last year. While it's good news that he's ramping up his arm, the 21-year-old isn't expected to be an option to make his 2025 season debut until around the All-Star break in the middle of July. The Dominican pitcher had all the makings of a future fantasy ace in his rookie season in 2023 when he went 5-6 with a 3.15 ERA (4.11 FIP) and 1.13 WHIP with 108 strikeouts and 31 walks in his first 19 starts over 91 1/3 innings pitched. There's a lot to like with the young hurler's profile, but fantasy managers need to remember that he's only 21 years old and might not be as sharp in the second half in 2025. He'll be a much better fantasy investment in single-year leagues in 2026.

Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo (hamstring) left Friday's contest early against the visiting Cleveland Guardians with left-hamstring tightness, according to MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger. Before leaving, Rengifo went 1-for-2 with a double. He was replaced at second base by Kyren Paris. While fantasy managers should consider the 28-year-old day-to-day until further notice, it should be noted that Rengifo also missed some time in spring training with a left-hamstring injury that could be related. We wouldn't be surprised if it's an injury that sends him to the injured list, but we'll wait for more information. At the very least, Rengifo probably won't be available for Game 2 of the series on Saturday at Angel Stadium. The Venezuelan switch-hitting infielder came into Friday's game hitting just .174 (4-for-23) in the early going with a double and RBI in six games. If Rengifo misses extended time with this injury, Paris, Tim Anderson and Nicky Lopez are all candidates to see time at the keystone.

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge went 1-for-5 at the plate with a two-run shot during their 9-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday afternoon. Judge would tally his lone hit in the seventh inning of the contest when he took Tim Mayza deep on a two-run home run. This blast also scored first baseman Ben Rice. Judge has enjoyed an incredible start to the campaign, as he has gone deep six times through seven regular-season games. Judge enjoyed a career day on March 29 when he launched three long balls against the Milwaukee Brewers. Across this incredible start, Judge has tallied 17 RBI and holds an overall .379/.445/1.103 slash line. He has also been productive on the basepaths, swiping two bags. The 32-year-old remains a must-start option in all formats and a top play in DFS in any matchup. He will look to stay hot on Saturday, facing Pittsburgh southpaw Bailey Falter.

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Seth Lugo tossed six innings of two-run ball (one earned) with five hits en route to picking up his first victory over the Baltimore Orioles. He served up one walk and struck out two batters. Heston Kjerstad would bring in the first run of the evening in the second inning. Later in that frame, Kjerstad would cross home on a throwing error. This was a nice bounce-back outing for the 35-year-old as he allowed three runs, four hits, and three walks across five frames in his first start of the campaign. Last summer, Lugo enjoyed an impressive season as he logged 206 1/3 innings to the tune of a strong 3.00 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. He tallied 181 punchouts and served up 48 free passes. Lugo will look to continue this momentum in his next scheduled start on Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins.
