Cincinnati Reds second baseman Matt McLain went 2-for-3 with a homer, a walk, four runs, and three RBI in a 14-3 win over the Texas Rangers on Monday. McLain continued his hot start to the season by swatting a two-run homer off Kumar Rocker in the first inning of the lopsided win. The 25-year-old already has three homers in his first four games of the season after hitting 16 to go along with 14 steals in 89 games in 2024. McLain is emerging as a power/speed threat in fantasy leagues and should consistently find his way into fantasy lineups moving forward.

Cincinnati Reds right-hander Brady Singer threw a gem in a 14-3 win over the Texas Rangers on Monday. Singer tossed seven shutout innings while allowing just one hit, striking out eight, and walking two. It was exactly the type of debut Singer could have hoped for in his first start for the Reds after he was traded from the Kansas City Royals in the offseason. Singer turned in his best season in the big leagues in 2024, posting a 9-13 record, 3.71 ERA, and 170 strikeouts over 179 2/3 innings of work and is looking to keep it going as he is off to a fast start in the 2025 season. Singer is slated to face off against the Milwaukee Brewers on the road on Saturday in his next start.

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz posted a huge game in a 14-3 win over the Texas Rangers on Monday. De La Cruz went 4-for-5 with a double, two homers, four runs, seven RBI, and a stolen base in the blowout win over Texas. The speedy infielder hit his first homer off Kumar Rocker in the second inning, a three-run shot, and later ripped a two homer homer in the seventh. It has been an encouraging start to the season for De La Cruz, who is now hitting .438 with two homers, eight RBI, and one steal. De La Cruz emerged as an elite power/speed fantasy asset in 2024, hitting 25 homers and swiping 67 bags across 160 games. He remains a must-start in fantasy leagues.

Athletics shortstop prospect Jacob Wilson went 1-for-2 with a home run during their loss to the Chicago Cubs on Monday evening. Wilson hit his solo shot off young Chicago right-hander Ben Brown in the third inning. Later in the contest, he would tally his second RBI on a groundout. Wilson has tallied at least one hit in each of his first five games of the regular season. Across this stint, he posted a .294/.294/.471 slash line with just one extra-base hit, which was Monday's long ball. He has yet to strike out this season, but has also not drawn a walk. Wilson progressed through the minor leagues very quickly last season and was able to appear in 28 MLB games before suffering a season-ending hamstring injury. Through his first 33 MLB games, the former sixth overall pick has held a .257/.311/.339 line. He is worth starting in all deeper formats as a middle infielder, given his upside to provide a solid batting average.

Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Andres Gimenez went 2-for-2 with a double, a homer, a walk, three runs, one RBI, and a steal in a 5-2 win over the Washington Nationals on Monday. Gimenez is off to a red-hot start in 2025 as he has swatted three homers in 18 at-bats after notching just nine home runs for the Cleveland Guardians in 2024. Gimenez is unlikely to keep up with the power hitting as the season goes on, although he stole 60 bases over his previous two seasons. He should remain locked into fantasy lineups while he's swinging the bat well.
