Alec Bohm Homers, Collects Two More RBI

Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Alec Bohm went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Cubs. The former first-round draft pick is having his best season as a big leaguer to date, boasting a .299-11-70-40-4 line with a .362 wOBA and 135 wRC+. Bohm leads the majors in doubles with 28 and his 70 RBI are third-most behind only Jose Ramirez (76) and Aaron Judge (83).

Yorke has played 23 games for Triple-A and is hitting .337 with four homers and 15 RBI with a .968 OPS. The Red Sox' No. 6 prospect profiles as a pure hitter with plus power. The first-round pick of Boston in the 2020 draft hit two homers with five RBI on July 2 to continue to build off a productive June in which he hit .342 with two homers and 10 RBI. The 22-year-old could be pushing for a promotion if he continues this stretch of production.

Yanquiel Fernandez Notches Four Hits, Homer For Double-A Hartford

Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Yanquiel Fernandez was 4-for-5 with a home run for Double-A Hartford on Wednesday. The 21-year-old is off to an 8-for-15 start in three July games with two homers and five RBI. The Rockies No. 4 prospect is hitting .284 with eight homers and 42 RBI in an impressive season so far in Double-A. Fernandez has 60-grade power and profiles as a plus-contributor in the power categories. The Cuban is a name to monitor as he continues to progress through the Rockies' minor league system. Eventually hitting at Coors Field would be a nice setup for Fernandez but that could be a year or two away.

Samuel Basallo Crushes Homer For Double-A Bowie

Baltimore Orioles catcher prospect Samuel Basallo was 1-for-3 with a three-run home run Wednesday for Double-A Bowie. Basallo is hitting .279 with 12 homers and 37 RBI for Bowie this season. The Orioles No. 2 prospect is having a very productive season in Double-A at just 19 years old. Basallo is one of the top catcher prospects in the game with 60-grade hitting and power. Basallo hit .284 with four homers and 10 RBI in June and could be pushing for a promotion to Triple-A soon. Basallo has progressed quickly through the minors and could find his way to Baltimore in a season or two.
