Toronto Blue Jays rookie third baseman Addison Barger went 2-for-4 in Friday's 5-4 win over the Angels, including a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth. Joey Loperfido had hit a home run just before Barger to knot the score at four apiece. The performance was a bright spot in what has otherwise been a struggle for the 24-year-old in his first season in the big leagues, as this was his first multi-hit game since July 31, having slashed .149/.184/.362 in August in just 47 at-bats. He has collected a hit in four of his last six games though (6-for-25), so perhaps he's building some momentum to finish off the season strong. If he were to get hot, the former sixth-round pick is eligible at 3B, SS, and OF, and is available in nearly all Yahoo leagues.

Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani went 2-for-5 in Friday's 7-3 win over the Rays. Earlier in the game, the former 2x MVP stole a base to hit the 40-steal plateau, and then, with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth in a tie ballgame, Ohtani belted a walk-off grand slam on the first pitch he saw in the at-bat to reach the 40-homer plateau. It was a storybook way to join the 40/40 club, but with 33 games to go, there is more to accomplish. For the season, the 4x All-Star has amassed a .292-40-92-97-40 line and is the front-runner for National League MVP.

Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez smacked a double and a home run in a 2-for-4 day at the plate during a 7-4 win over the Phillies. The veteran backstop also collected three RBI in the contest. The 34-year-old doesn't show signs of slowing down, having put together another fine season for the Royals. He's even lowered his K% 3.2% over last season while increasing his BB% 3.3%, all helped by an increase in contact rate and a reduction in chase rate. The 9x All-Star has slashed .276/.334/.474 with 23 home runs and 88 RBI this season, putting him only behind William Contreras for most productive fantasy catcher.

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve homered and drove in two runs as part of a 2-for-4 day at the plate in Friday's 7-5 loss to the Orioles. The veteran was also hit by a pitch in the contest. It was the sixth time this month the 9x All-Star has had multiple hits in a game, although he has also had six games in which he went hitless, leading to just a .256 batting average in August. Nevertheless, the 34-year-old is having a solid year overall, recording a .299-17-55-73-18 line with a .345 wOBA and 127 wRC+, remaining one of the top options at the keystone for fantasy.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong laced a line drive off the right field wall and scampered all the way around the bases for an inside-the-park home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Marlins. It was the fastest recorded time around the bases this season as the speedster did it in just 14.1 seconds. The 22-year-old also singled, walked, and scored twice. The former first-rounder's batting average sat at .183 entering July 28, but since then he's gone 22-for-75 (.293) with four doubles, two triples, three home runs, and five stolen bases. Now batting .216 on the season, he could be a difference-maker down the stretch as he's shown the pop for extra-base hits and has the base-stealing chops to make him one of the most dangerous runners in the game, so long as he's getting on base, which he's finally doing.
