Miami Marlins starting pitcher Edward Cabrera (undisclosed) has been scratched ahead of his start against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday. The organization hasn't given a reason why Cabrera was pulled ahead of his start. He has already been on the injured list twice this season, so hopefully he won't require a third trip. In the meantime, Austin Kitchen will draw the start for Friday's game. The 27-year-old has only thrown five innings on the big-league club this season. Kitchen won't be an ideal streaming option against a tough Phillies lineup.

Toronto Blue Jays infielder Addison Barger (knee) is available off the bench ahead of Friday's game against the Atlanta Braves. This is good news considering Barger has been out of the lineup since Tuesday due to a lingering knee issue. The fact that Barger is available off the bench means that he should be back in the lineup within the next day or so. Barger has struggled throughout most of the season, but he has an .827 OPS and seven home runs since returning to the majors in late July. He figures to see regular at-bats down the stretch of the season once he's back to full health.

Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers is absent from the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Kansas City Royals. This appears to be a routine rest day for Jeffers after he started in each of the last three games. That being said, Christian Vazquez will do the catching and bat seventh versus left-hander Cole Ragans. Vazquez has been cold at the plate with only one hit in his last 11 at-bats. He's unlikely to have much success against a tough southpaw here. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a streaming option on Friday.

The San Francisco Giants placed left-hander Kyle Harrison (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to Sept. 4) on Friday with left-shoulder inflammation and recalled right-hander Austin Warren from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move. The move comes after Harrison was slapped around on Tuesday in his most recent outing versus the division-rival Arizona Diamondbacks, when he surrendered six earned runs on seven hits while walking one and fanning three in just 2 2/3 frames. The 23-year-old southpaw has been awful since the start of August with a 7.76 ERA and 1.57 WHIP over 26 2/3 innings, but it's unclear how long his shoulder has been bothering him. There is time for Harrison to return to SF's starting rotation, but only if he's able to return after the 15 days. In any event, there's a good chance we've seen the last of Harrison in 2024.

Chicago White Sox catcher Korey Lee (back) was scratched from Friday's starting lineup against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park due to back tightness. Chuckie Robinson will take over the catching duties and serve as the battery mate for right-hander Davis Martin while batting eighth against Red Sox right-hander Nick Pivetta. The 26-year-old Lee could probably use a day off anyway; he has hit just .214 (18-for-84) with a homer, three doubles, a triple, five RBI and 28 strikeouts in 25 games played since the start of August. It's been right along with his season line of .213/.244/.346 with a well below-average .590 OPS. The former first-rounder in 2019 out of Cal Berkeley has 10 homers, 31 RBI and five steals in 2024. Robinson has six hits in his 39 at-bats (.154) this year with no homers and 11 strikeouts, so DFS managers should be looking to avoid him.
