Oakland Athletics shortstop prospect Jacob Wilson (knee) has performed very well through the first week of his rehab assignment and should be rejoining Triple-A Las Vegas very soon. The top prospect in the Oakland system has tallied at least one hit in each of his five games in the Rookie League, including a four-hit performance on June 22. Wilson made his Triple-A debut on May 8 but was only able to play in six games before hitting the injured list. Through this small sample size, Wilson showcased his elite hitting skills with a .375/.400/.458 slash line. The Grand Canyon University product was selected with the sixth overall pick in last year's MLB Draft and could push for a late-season MLB Debut. He is considered the 53rd-best prospect on MLB.com and should remain stashed in all dynasty leagues.

Miami Marlins right-hander Bryan Hoeing (hamstring) threw two scoreless innings in a minor-league rehab outing for Single-A Jupiter on June 14 and needed 36 pitches to record five outs on June 20. His next rehab outing will be for two innings on June 25. Hoeing previously threw 26 pitches in live batting practice in the cages due to poor weather on June 11. He felt mild tightness after starting his rehab assignment on May 21 with two innings with Triple-A Jacksonville. Hoeing said he first tweaked his hamstring during spring training but pitched through it. The 27-year-old was an effective reliever for the Marlins in his third big-league season in 2023, posting a 1.83 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 16 strikeouts and five walks, albeit in just 19 2/3 innings over 11 appearances out of the bullpen. He also has starting experience, making eight starts the previous two seasons.

Miami Marlins left-hander Josh Simpson (elbow), who underwent surgery for left-elbow neuritis on April 23, will be evaluated for a bullpen session in the coming weeks. Simpson has been continuing his throwing program in Jupiter, Fla. He had thrown one innings for Single-A Jupiter on April 6 after previously completing one inning and 25 pitches in an extended spring game on April 2 before he experienced a setback. Simpson opened the year on the injured list and didn't pitch in a spring training game after his Feb. 27 outing because he began to feel discomfort. He was moved to the 60-day injured list on April 20. The 26-year-old southpaw has yet to make his major-league debut but could be an option for Miami's bullpen in the second half of the season.

Miami Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara (elbow), who has been playing catch off and on, was rehabbing with the team on Monday in Kansas City. Alcantara initially felt discomfort in his right elbow on the 94th and final pitch of his Sept. 3 start against the Washington Nationals last year and was diagnosed with a right forearm flexor strain. An MRI later showed a right UCL sprain before he ultimately had Tommy John surgery. Alcantara began a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville on Sept. 21 but shut himself down after experiencing forearm tightness. The 2022 National League Cy Young winner will miss all of the 2024 season, but the good news is that he's been playing catch for months now and should be ready for the start of next year, barring any setbacks.

Baltimore Orioles top infield prospect Jackson Holliday (elbow) will be reinstated off the injured list for Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday. The MLB Pipeline's top prospect will serve as a designated hitter for a few weeks as he progresses from right elbow inflammation. Holliday is hitting .270/.433/.466 with seven homers, 28 RBI, 55 runs scored, and five stolen bases with Norfolk. He faltered in his initial call-up in April, hitting .059/.111/.059 with one RBI and 18 strikeouts in 34 at-bats, but there is a strong chance Holliday will receive another opportunity with the Orioles after the All-Star Break. Fantasy managers will have to wait a little longer before Holliday unleashes his potential, but he remains a must-stash in redraft leagues.
