Welcome to the prop bet tracker. As MLB season gets into high gear, another way to get in on the action is to analyze the day’s best prop bets – from strikeouts to home runs, first to five runs to total bases logged.

Each day, we will try to identify a few picks that are ready to explode in the prop market.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. to Hit a Home Run (+470, DraftKings)

This Blue Jays lineup is terrifying. Downright nasty. And yes, I am asking you to roster a potential seven-hole hitter on a team. Why? Because Lourdes Gurriel Jr. smashes the ball, and he gets to face Dean Kremer – the righty has been solid with a strikeout rate near 22%, but he has also allowed a whopping 2.30 HR/9. Gurriel has been cooking at the dish, and I expect him to smash in Buffalo this evening.

Luis García Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-113, DraftKings)

One thing lost in this offensive resurgence by the Houston Astros has been their ascent of their very dynamic pitching staff. And, perhaps one of the most unsung heroes? Luis García, who takes the ball Thursday evening. Over the last month, the righty has fired his way to 30.1 innings, 33 whiffs, and a sparkling 2.08 ERA and 1.02 WHIP. The Tigers struggle as one of the league’s worst offenses, logging a .299 wOBA and a league-worst 27.3% strikeout rate.
