Each day at FTN, we will try to find some unique prop bets that we can play to gain an edge. Here’s a few that stick out on tonight’s slate.

Trea Turner to Hit a Home Run (+450, William Hill)

So much juice here, I have to squeeze it. The Nationals are absolutely torching the ball at the dish. In terms of team wOBA in the last two weeks, they lead major league baseball at a clip of .368 and .211 isolated power (ISO) mark. That’s great. And the Phillies starter, Matt Moore, has been absolutely torched this season by the long ball. Enter Trea Turner, who could be in the running for NL MVP if the Nats weren’t struggling so much.

Jordan Montgomery Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-127, Unibet)

This one is interesting – can Jordan Montgomery continue his recent run of strong form? Over the last month, he’s pitched 22.2 innings, recording 25 strikeouts and a 3.57 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. That’s pretty good. Tampa has cut down on strikeouts recently, logging a 19.1% strikeout rate over the last two weeks, but they do own a 26.9% strikeout rate against southpaws in 2021. I like Montgomery a lot here.
