2024 Team Stats

Minnesota Twins utility man Willi Castro went 2-for-4 in Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks, including an HBP, a double, and his seventh home run of the season. The hits extended his hit streak to 10 games, batting .375 (15-for-40) over that stretch with eight doubles, two home runs, eight RBI, and nine runs scored. He's got a .274-7-26-47-8 line on the season with a .357 wOBA and 134 wRC+, making a worthwhile fantasy asset. Not only that, the 27-year-old is eligible at 2B, 3B, SS, and OF in Yahoo leagues, making him even more appealing for fantasy rosters.

Minnesota Twins third baseman Jose Miranda had a big game in an 8-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Miranda went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, one run, and three RBI in the win. The veteran got the Twins off to a fast start in the game, ripping a three-run double in the second inning to kick off the scoring. Miranda has been red-hot of late, hitting .385 with one homer and nine RBI over his past seven contests. On the year, the 25-year-old is batting .293 with 16 doubles, eight homers, 25 runs, 33 RBI, and one stolen base. He should be under consideration for a spot in starting lineups in fantasy while he's swinging a hot bat.

Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers had a big night at the plate in a 5-4 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday. Jeffers went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk but it wasn't quite enough in the one-run loss. The veteran catcher's seventh-inning blast tied the game at 4-4. Jeffers is providing nice power numbers for a catcher this season, hitting .236 with 15 doubles, 13 homers, 30 runs, 41 RBI, and two steals across 220 at-bats. He is just one homer shy of tying his previous career-high of 14, a number he reached both in 2021 and 2023.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler (neck) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The left-handed slugger is back in the lineup following a three-game absence due to neck spasms. Kepler will bat cleanup and play right field against right-hander Brandon Pfaadt. Fantasy managers who have Kepler rostered can get him back in their lineups on Tuesday.

The Minnesota Twins placed pitcher Chris Paddack (forearm) on the injured list with right-forearm fatigue and called up pitcher Ronny Henriquez from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. The 28-year-old will miss a few weeks and could return around the All-Star break. Paddack is (5-3) with a 5.29 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 78 1/3 innings, striking out 70 and walking 18. Home runs have been a problem for Paddack, who has allowed 13 dingers. Paddack is worth rostering in deep leagues with an IL spot. Henriquez, who pitched two scoreless innings in his first stint with the Twins, is (1-2) with a 3.53 ERA and three saves over 22 appearances (one start) for St. Paul. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues may want to take notice of Henriquez, whose versatility could lead to a more extended stay.
