Minnesota Twins third baseman Royce Lewis (quadriceps) said he received a platelet-rich plasma injection to help his right quadriceps muscle heal. Lewis suffered a serious quad strain on Opening Day last Thursday and will be shut down from baseball activities for at least a month. Hopefully, his PRP injection will speed up the healing process in his leg, but the 24-year-old is still going to be out for a while and needs to be stashed in an injured list spot in all fantasy leagues. Since Lewis was injured, Willi Castro has been serving as the team's regular third baseman and has gone just 2-for-16 (.125) with two runs scored, three walks and seven strikeouts in his first 20 plate appearances of the year in five contests.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate on Wednesday in a 7-3 win over the Brewers. Hitting out of the second spot in the order, Kirilloff had two singles, a double, and a triple. The 26-year-old also reached base once via a walk and scored twice. The lefty is now 8-for-18 (.444) through five games, collecting at least one hit in each of them, with one RBI and four runs scored. After missing time over the last few seasons due to injury, the former first-round MLB draft pick is finally healthy and is showing what he can do. Fantasy managers who took a chance on him have to be delighted so far, as expectations couldn't have been high (and neither was the price tag) with an ADP in the 300s.

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher prospect Simeon Woods Richardson will make his season debut for Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday. Woods Richardson was once a highly touted prospect and brought along with Austin Martin for Jose Berrios a few seasons ago. The 23-year=old has dealt with injuries and unimpressive results thus far and is no longer a consensus Top-100 prospect, but that doesn't mean that he can't correct his trajectory with a strong season. The Twins have some good depth with starting pitchers, so it's likely it would take a few injuries or dominance on the mound for Woods Richardson to get the promotion. A former big name in dynasty leagues, Woods Richardson is worth keeping an eye on, but can safely be on the waiver wire.

Minnesota Twins right-hander Louie Varland is set for his first start of the 2024 MLB season. Varland made the team out of camp, which was the first time in his career that happened as he started last season in Triple-A. Varland ended up pitching in 17 games, starting 10 for the Twins last season, and went 4-3 with a 4.63 ERA. Varland will face a Milwaukee Brewers lineup that is slashing .303/.364/.413. The Twins enter play on Tuesday with a record of 2-1.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler (leg) is back in right field and is hitting cleanup for the Twins on Tuesday as they take on right-hander Jakob Junis and the Milwaukee Brewers. Kepler fouled a ball off his right leg on Opening Day on Thursday and missed the previous two games as a result. Thankfully, the injury wasn't too serious, though, and he's back in the lineup for the series opener against Milwaukee. The 31-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder has been a bit injury-prone in his career but offers some decent power as the team's regular right fielder, at least against right-handed pitching. Kepler went 0-for-4 on Opening Day with two strikeouts before injuring his leg, so he'll be searching for his first hit of 2024 on Tuesday in his return to the lineup.
