Caleb Durbin Homers In Loss Monday

Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Caleb Durbin turned in a productive game in a 5-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Durbin went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer to provide the only offense for the Brewers in the loss. The rookie infielder now has his first MLB homer under his belt as he launched a 375-foot blast off Giants starter Robbie Ray in the second inning. Durbin was just recalled from Triple-A last week and has posted a .200 average, three runs, three RBI, and a steal across 15 at-bats. He has plenty of speed and is worth monitoring in fantasy in case he's able to reach base consistently as Milwaukee's regular third baseman.

Tobias Myers To Start On Thursday Against Giants

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Tobias Myers (oblique) is set to come off the 15-day injured list to start against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday at Oracle Park. It will be Myers' season debut after making three minor-league rehab starts for Triple-A Nashville. The 26-year-old looked good during his three starts in the minors, allowing three earned runs on 10 hits while walking four and striking out eight in 13 1/3 innings pitched. Myers tossed five scoreless innings with five strikeouts in his final rehab assignment and should be ready to handle close to a full workload when he takes the mound in a pitcher-friendly ballpark in San Fran this week. Due to his below-average strikeout rate, expecting Myers to be better than his 3.00 ERA from last year might be foolish, but he'll have value in deep-mixed and NL-only leagues as a permanent member of Milwaukee's starting rotation.

Logan Henderson Heading Back To Triple-A

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Logan Henderson is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Nashville to make room for right-handed reliever Craig Yoho on the active major-league roster this week. The Brewers' starting rotation didn't have imminent room for Henderson despite his excellent debut on Sunday now that right-hander Tobias Myers (oblique) is returning from the injured list on Thursday. The 23-year-old is the team's No. 12 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and he thoroughly impressed against the Athletics on Sunday, allowing one run in six innings with nine strikeouts for a win in his debut. Henderson will head back to the farm for now, but after his impressive debut over the weekend, he should be in play as one of the top starting considerations if the Brewers have another need this season. The former fourth-rounder doesn't pass the eye test, but his numbers say otherwise.

Logan Henderson Strikes Out Nine In MLB Debut

Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Logan Henderson tossed six innings of one-run ball in his MLB debut on Sunday afternoon. In this outing against the Athletics, Henderson allowed just three hits, one walk, and struck out nine batters, en route to picking up the victory. This was an impressive debut for the 23-year-old. His lone blemish came in the fifth inning when Seth Brown hit a solo blast. Henderson was given the call to the big leagues due to the numerous injuries in the Milwaukee rotation. Earlier in the season, he logged 14 innings at Triple-A to the tune of a 3.21 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. During this stint, he tallied 24 punchouts with just 10 walks. Given his impressive debut, fantasy managers should expect the former fourth-round pick to earn at least another turn in the rotation. He is worth adding in all 12-team formats.

Brice Turang Notches Three Steals, Scores Three Times On Sunday

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang ran wild on Sunday, swiping three bags in a 14-1 drubbing of the Athletics. Turang finished the day 2-for-3 with a walk, three runs scored, an RBI, and the aforementioned three steals. The speedster had his doubters coming into the season after a poor back half of 2024, but he is doing his best to prove them wrong, hitting .322 with a .795 OPS and adding 23 runs, three homers, 11 RBI, and eight steals in 84 at-bats. He's been excellent in the leadoff spot for the Brewers and is looking like a steal (literally) for those who drafted him in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.
