Logan Henderson Optioned to Triple-A

Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the Milwaukee Brewers have optioned pitcher Logan Henderson to Triple-A Nashville. In a corresponding move, pitcher DL Hall (lat) was activated from the 60-day IL. The rookie had been superb over four starts since his call-up, compiling a 1.75 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 29:6 K:BB ratio (21 innings). It's undoubtedly a puzzling decision, considering he'd been far more effective than most of Milwaukee's rotation, bolstering a 35.8% strikeout rate that places him in the top four percent of all pitchers. The former fourth-round pick will likely be back up with the big-league squad at some point this season.

Logan Henderson Pitches Well in No-Decision

Brewers right-hander Logan Henderson held his own again Sunday in a 6-5 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 23-year-old threw five innings of one-run, five-hit ball with six strikeouts and two walks, but he did not factor into the decision. Henderson debuted on April 20 and has since tossed four highly effective starts with the Brewers. He has pitched to a phenomenal 1.71 ERA with 29 strikeouts, six walks, and a 2.89 xFIP over his first 21 big league innings. Despite his early success, Henderson will be a risky start for fantasy managers when he goes on the road Saturday to face the Philadelphia Phillies' high-powered offense.

Logan Henderson Fans Seven In Scoreless Outing Tuesday

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Logan Henderson continued to make a good impression in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Orioles. Henderson pitched five innings, allowing no runs on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. The 23-year-old has made two consecutive starts for the Brewers and three on the season, going 3-0 with a 1.69 ERA, a 0.81 WHIP, and a 12.94 K/9 rate in 16 IP. Henderson showed high strikeout upside with low ERA's throughout his minor-league career and could be a potential fantasy option if he can continue to translate his skills in the big leagues. Should he stick around, his next scheduled start would be an excellent matchup at the Pirates.
