If you’re interested in competing against me and others on Bettle, check out the invite below. I’ll be around each week of the fantasy baseball season. Make sure you import your best roster to compete with mine. Let me tell you about the pros and cons of my squad!

You don’t have to wait until Monday to compete with me. You can sign up today and compete with me May 5-11. Here’s the way my lineup shakes up for the next seven days.

Batters

Now may be a pretty good time to compete against my lineup, especially with the recent struggles from some of my big hitters. Seattle Mariners superstar Julio Rodríguez enters today’s action with a .231 average. and he’s only hit five homers. Luis Robert Jr. of the Chicago White Sox has six homers. but he’s hitting just .217 with a .262 OBP. Taylor Ward also has a weak average to start the season (.219) and recently lost his leadoff spot atop the Los Angeles Angels’ lineup. Red Sox’s outfielder Alex Verdugo has been a top-10 fantasy baseball hitter over the last two weeks (.298 AVG, 4 HR, 11 RBI, 12 R), but it’s safe to say my outfield is letting me down at the moment.

Rowdy Tellez has been fantastic of late, but he’ll see tough pitching against the Dodgers to start next week. One infielder I can’t talk bad about is Josh Jung. The rookie third baseman for the Texas Rangers has eight bombs on the season and he’s hitting .275. He has three homers and eight RBI over his last two games. I don’t know if they can keep it up, but the Rangers have been one of the best offenses in the game to start the MLB season.

Pitchers

Well, I started the year with Jeffrey Springs. My staff is much weaker with him out of my lineup and now on waivers due to Tommy John surgery. I still have a few decent arms, including Spencer Strider, Luis Castillo and Zac Gallen. Gallen is in a great spot next week against his former team in the Miami Marlins, but Castillo has a date with Texas and Strider will get the Toronto Blue Jays. I’m also very nervous to roll out Patrick Sandoval and his shady command as he’ll get the ball against the Houston Astros. I also just lost my number one closer in Pete Fairbanks, and without Daniel Bard getting saves, it’s a category you’ll easily get if we go head-to-head.

Let’s play ball.

To make it more interesting, the teams that compete with me and beat me will be featured on Mean Streets, which airs daily on Game+ Network. Sign up and claim your team here.
