Welcome to a Saturday edition of MLB best bets. Friday, the Marlins kept their lead for the third NL Wild Card spot while cashing in our moneyline spot with a 4-3 comeback victory. Saturday, we’ll turn our attention to Game 2 of a weekend series between the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals, taking place at Truist Park in Atlanta.

Washington Nationals @ Atlanta Braves

The Braves has already secured the best record in baseball this season and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. To say the Braves have been dominant offensively this season would be an understatement. Atlanta’s record-setting offense has set the MLB world on fire from the first pitch of the year until this weekend’s regular season wrap-up. Ronald Acuña Jr. achieved the MLB first ever 40-homer/70-steal season, Matt Olson leads the majors in home runs (54), and they have seven hitters with over 20 home runs.

Though Atlanta has clinched everything possible, I still believe the home run champ Olson will look to electrify the Atlanta faithful. Saturday, Olson gets to face off against the Nationals’ Joan Adon. Adon enters 1-4 in his last seven starts with a 6.95 ERA and has allowed at least 4 earned runs in four of his last five starts.

Olson and Adon have faced off three times at the plate, with Olson putting up a .333 AVG with a double. Adon has struggled with left-handers all season, allowing them to average .296 with 16 extra base hits. Olson hand has feasted against right-handers with a .294 AVG and 44 of his 54 home runs. Saturday, we’ll back the home run king to rack up yet another extra base hit this season with a favorable matchup against Adon to start the night.
