One of my favorite things in DFS is the opportunity to try a new outlet. Diversifying where you play is key to building a bankroll. That type of opportunity is exactly what we get today with our new friends at StatHero.

In short, StatHero offers fantasy players two ways to play. A revolutionary DFS Sportsbook, and a fantasy-based survivor pool. The app doesn’t pit players against players, you’re always playing against StatHero. For a more in-depth look at what StatHero has to offer, check out this app review from FTN’s Tyler Loechner and Chris Meaney’s new video breakdown.

Stat Hero NBA picks for tonight

Player prices will fluctuate throughout the day with news, so prices in this article may not reflect what you see on the app when you’re making your lineup in the Sportsbook. Make sure you join the #StatHero channel in the FTN Daily Discord. It’s free and you can always tag me with any questions you may have leading up to lock.

Here’s a look at my favorite plays for Wednesday’s slate on StatHero.

StatHero MVP picks (normally $11k and above)

Your MVP will score 1.5x the fantasy points. The pricing on StatHero has been getting much tighter as the real NBA rotations do the same. There’s really only one option in my opinion for MVP Wednesday and that’s Paul George. The gap between his projection and the top three Phoenix players, who are secondary choices for me, is too much to fade in the MVP spot. Luckily, StatHero has presented us with a non-Paul George MVP lineup to take down. This is the one I want to attack. If you had to go with one of the Suns players in my MVP spot instead of just picking one for a flex position, I prefer Devin Booker over Deandre Ayton, with Chris Paul bringing up the rear the way they are priced as of this writing.

StatHero flex picks ($6.5-$11k range)

The strongest play in this range is Reggie Jackson. However, his price is prohibitive if you’re playing George in the MVP and hoping to roster one of the spend-up Suns along with him. Some secondary type Suns plays are also a bit expensive like Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder and Cameron Payne. The lineup I’m going with actually has zero players from this tier given how stacked the value range is.

StatHero sleeper/value picks ($6.4k and below)

Here’s where we fill out the rest of our lineup. StatHero is doing the same based on how they priced players as of this writing, so you’re likely going to end up with a 2v2 or 3v3 against them in any lineup you build. I’m fine configuring an assortment of Marcus Morris, Nicolas Batum, Cameron Johnson, DeMarcus Cousins, Luke Kennard or Dario Saric to fill out your lineup. In order, I rank them: Morris, Batum, Cousins, Johnson, Kennard, Saric at their current prices.
