The regular season stops, but the opportunities for Mojo investments continue!
Earlier this week I talked about two buys I loved for last night’s NFL playoff games. The first was Jacksonville running back Travis Etienne, who rushed for 109 yards in the Jaguars’ thrilling 31-30 comeback victory over the Chargers. Etienne raised his price $0.25 in just one game, giving us a nice 2.5% profit in our investment. Including his 5x multiplier, that is over a 10% increase in just one day.
Our second recommendation was San Francisco backup running back Elijah Mitchell, who entered the game with just a $5.09 per share valuation. While Mitchell disappointed on the ground, he did produce two receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown. That raised Mitchell’s price to $5.15, which equates to a 1.2% increase. While that may seem small, with Mitchell’s 5x multiplier at Mojo, that is a 6% ROI.
Mojo is a whole new pure sports investment — on the entire career of an athlete. The share price is the public’s expectations for a player’s career based on six objective stats. A player’s value can also be affected by the result of a single game.
Here is my favorite Mojo investment for Sunday’s robust slate of games on Wild Card Sunday.
Daniel Jones, QB, New York Giants
One look at Daniel Jones’ career stock price chart, and it’s easy to see why investors are leery of believing in the Giants’ 25-year-old quarterback.
Jones brings volatility and uncertainty to the NFL’s most important position. However, he enters the most important game of his career at just a $30.19 stock price, making him a fantastic buy heading into Sunday’s matchup at Minnesota.
In the Giants’ matchup against Minnesota just two weeks ago, Jones was fantastic. He completed 71.4 percent of his passes for 334 yards (second-highest total of the season). Jones also ran for 34 yards, again displaying his ability to challenge the defense with his legs.
Entering the season, there was uncertainty whether Jones was the long-term answer at quarterback. By leading the Giants to their first winning season since 2016, it appears the Giants are ready to make that financial commitment. Reports on social media have the Giants and Jones close to agreeing on a three- to four-year contract extension.
Jones’ stock price at Mojo is still trading $10 below his career-high and would certainly see a huge boost with an upset win at Minnesota. New York is only a three-point road underdog, indicating a close game. Jones presents that perfect balance as a player who can provide an immediate return, while also carrying long-term value as the starting quarterback for the Giants.
I am investing in Jones prior to Sunday’s playoff matchup. He is a two-way quarterback in a favorable matchup with historic room to grow on his stock price. If the Giants find a way to upset Minnesota, he will provide savvy investors with a big payoff to end the 2022 season.
