Two weeks. That’s it. That’s all we have left until the fantasy football playoffs. There are still moves to be made in dynasty that can help put you over the top for that final push for the most glorious title in all the land, fantasy football league champion.
As a reminder, buying doesn’t mean getting a player for Malachi Corley and Wario Land for Virtual Boy. Selling doesn’t mean you must rid your rosters of said player for 10 cents on the dollar. When players are improperly valued, take advantage.
Dynasty Moves to Make: Sells
Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Starting the season with 10 touchdowns through his first eight games, Kyren Williams made my preseason prediction of him being a bust look silly. I’ll admit, I was wrong. But not completely. According to FTN StatsHub, Williams’ efficiency metrics are down across the board from last season to 2024: yards per carry down a full yard, juke rate down over 2%, offensive yards per carry dropping from 1.9 to 1.1. What’s even more concerning is his recent fumbling issue. Williams fumbled just twice last season in 12 games, losing one. He’s fumbled five times through 11 games this season, losing three. While the backfield has belonged to Williams almost exclusively, the fumble issue may be just the opportunity third-round rookie Blake Corum needs to start carving out a role in this offense. Context is critical in both life and fantasy football. Williams isn’t going away; he’s quite talented. But I’ve never bought into the idea of him being able to carry the workload of a bell-cow back at the pro level.
2024:
2023:
Players I’d be willing to trade Williams for 1 for 1: Kenneth Walker III, Jonathan Taylor, A.J. Brown
Trade Williams if: If you can get borderline RB1/High-End RB2 value.
Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns
Outside of fans of Cleveland’s division rivals, you’d be hard-pressed to find anybody not rooting for Nick Chubb‘s comeback tour. It was great to see him get in the end zone twice in the Snow Bowl battle against Pittsburgh, finishing as the Week 12 RB8 in PPR. However, his efficiency metrics this season are abysmal. Among running backs with at least 50 rushing attempts, Chubb has the second-lowest yards per carry (3.0), fourth-lowest yards after contact (2.2), third-lowest yards before contact (0.9) and third-lowest open field yards per carry (0.5), per FTN StatsHub. Use this artificial bump in value and clouded judgment from Thanksgiving food hangovers to move him for anything of value.
Players I’d be willing to trade Chubb for 1 for 1: Braelon Allen, Blake Corum, Jaylen Wright, Rico Dowdle
Trade Chubb if: You roster him. His value has nowhere to go but down.
