I’m here to break down the top wide receivers in the 2025 rookie class. The class itself is deep but lacks top-end talent. This is a really good year for an NFL team to be looking for its WR2 rather than its WR1. While I don’t expect many slate breakers and game-changers, there are plenty of names who can contribute to your fantasy team if things fall into place.

Dynasty Rookie Rankings for the 2025 NFL Draft: Wide Receiver
Tier 1
1. Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona

One of my favorite players in this class, and by himself in Tier 1, is Tetairoa McMillan. He has been my guy in this class for a while now. There is no chance I will be backing down. The general public has been down on Tet after a video from his freshman year surfaced where he says he doesn’t watch football and doesn’t like watching the film. Fade this noise. It means nothing; people are just bored waiting for the NFL Draft. Tet is that dude and closer to Ashton Jeanty than any other player in this draft. He’s my clear 1.02 overall.
Let’s break into the why. As more of a spreadsheet guy who occasionally watches film, I know that the first thing that stands out is not something that can be measured in a spreadsheet. Tet just has excellent football instincts. It shows up early and often on tape, making plays for the quarterback.
I have seen the Mike Evans comp tossed around. I do not fully agree with this, but I see it in this aspect of McMillan’s game. There is a natural feel for the position that makes life easier for the offense, much like Evans has.
It is tough to argue against production and breakout age when evaluating prospects. Tet had a big-time breakout as a sophomore, putting up 90 catches for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns, and then followed it up with another big year as a junior despite recovering from a spring procedure. I mentioned in prior articles how I’ve moved past early declares as a negative for predicting NFL success. While I removed it as a negative for prospects, it’s still a positive when they declare early. Three-year players at wide receiver have a much higher success rate than four- or five-year players.
Tet has the instincts, production and physical traits that will translate to the next level. He consistently wins at the catch point, creates separation with savvy rather than just speed, and makes life easy for his quarterback. When you stack up his profile against the rest of this class, no one checks as many boxes.
