It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to breakout the fantasy football flex rankings for Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season. If you’re new to the concept of flex rankings, these are simply the combined overall rankings for running back, wide receiver, and tight end for each week during the fantasy football season. These are not suggestions for who to start in your flex spots.
This list is our initial rankings, but it will change a lot throughout the week. If you want all the latest updates, then be sure to check our staff rankings page. Promo code “RATPACK” gets you 20% off of any FTN subscription.
Week 2 Flex Rankings (2022) – Top 100
These are the top 100 fantasy football flex rankings for Week 2 of the NFL season.
1. Cooper Kupp vs. ATL (WR1) – He picked right up where he left off last season, and that continues against the Falcons.
2. Jonathan Taylor @JAX (RB1) – Not only does he figure to see a massive workload, but Taylor also get a tasty matchup against the Jags this week.
3. Christian McCaffrey @NYG (RB2) – He managed to salvage a decent fantasy week despite a somewhat reduced workload in the opener, but McCaffrey remains on the of the highest-ceiling plays in fantasy.
4. Davante Adams vs. ARI (WR2) – Did you see what Kansas City’s passing game did to the Cards last week?
5. Justin Jefferson @PHI (WR3) – This isn’t an easy matchup, but Jefferson is as close to matchup-proof as they come.
6. Austin Ekeler @KC (RB3) – He got off to a sluggish start, but Ekeler should see a slight uptick in the passing game with Keenan Allen looking extremely unlikely.
7. Saquon Barkley vs. CAR (RB4) – He was an absolute monster in Week 1 and will continue his productive ways against a Panthers run defense that got torched by the Browns backfield.
8. Dalvin Cook @PHI (RB5) – Detroit ran all over Philly and so will Cook.
9. Ja’Marr Chase @DAL (WR4) – Sure, he’ll see Trevon Diggs, but Chase will still get his.
10. Derrick Henry @BUF (RB6) – Henry was bottled up last week and doesn’t have an easy matchup here against the Bills.
11. Stefon Diggs vs. TEN (WR5) – The volume will be plentiful for Diggs this season.
12. Joe Mixon @DAL (RB7) – Mixon handled a hefty workload and that should continue in what should be a very favorable gamescript.
13. D’Andre Swift vs. WAS (RB8) – He was the No. 3 fantasy running back last week and looked impressive in the process.
14. Nick Chubb vs. NYJ (RB9) – Chubb may not do much as a receiver, but he gets a fantastic matchup to exploit on the ground.
15. Alvin Kamara vs. TB (RB10) – Keep an eye on Kamara’s practice status, as the Saints back is dealing with a ribs issue.
16. Travis Kelce vs. LAC (TE1) – Stud.
17. Deebo Samuel vs. SEA (WR6) – Elijah Mitchell’s injury forced Samuel into running back duty in the monsoon game but look for him to get back to his productive ways as a receiver here.
18. Aaron Jones vs. CHI (RB11) – The backfield is essentially the Packers offense right now, and Jones will get a favorable gamescript in this one.
19. Antonio Gibson @DET (RB12) – Philly had their way in the run game against Detroit. Now it’s Gibson’s turn.
20. Leonard Fournette @NO (RB13) – Volume is the name of the game for Fournette.
21. Javonte Williams vs. HOU (RB14) – Despite splitting the work with Melvin Gordon, Williams was very effective out the backfield as a receiver.
22. Tyreek Hill @BAL (WR7) – Tua Tagovailoa peppered Hill with a hefty 12 targets in Week 1.
23. James Conner @LV (RB15) – Like the rest of the Cards offense, Conner looked flat in the opener. But he should see a heavy workload in a projected high scoring game.
24. A.J. Brown vs. MIN (WR8) – Jalen Hurts loves himself some A.J. Brown, and so should we.
25. Mike Evans @NO (WR9) – With Chris Godwin unlikely, Evans will be Tom Brady’s primary target this week.
26. Najee Harris vs. NE (RB16) – Be careful with Harris, as he’s dealing with a foot injury he suffered in the opener.
27. Josh Jacobs vs. ARI (RB17)
28. Michael Pittman @JAX (WR10)
29. Clyde Edwards-Helaire vs. LAC (RB18)
30. Mark Andrews vs. MIA (TE2)
31. Mike Williams @KC (WR11) – With Keenan Allen unlikely for Thursday night, Williams slides up into backend WR2 territory.
32. AJ Dillon vs. CHI (RB19)
33. Terry McLaurin @DET (WR12)
34. Gabe Davis vs. TEN (WR13)
35. Marquise Brown @LV (WR14)
36. Amon-Ra St. Brown vs. WAS (WR15)
37. David Montgomery @GB (RB20)
38. Ezekiel Elliott vs. CIN (RB21) – It’s going to be tough for the Cowboys to move the football with Cooper Rush under center.
39. Kareem Hunt vs. NYJ (RB22)
40. Courtland Sutton vs. HOU (WR16)
41. Jaylen Waddle @BAL (WR17)
42. Brandin Cooks @DEN (WR18)
43. DJ Moore @NYG (WR19)
44. Cordarrelle Patterson @LAR (RB23) – Patterson had a massive Week 1 stat line, but it’s unlikely he continues to handle that big of a workload in the run game.
45. Rashaad Penny @SF (RB24)
46. CeeDee Lamb vs. CIN (WR20)
47. Tee Higgins @ DAL (WR21)
48. Michael Thomas vs. TB (WR22)
49. Jeff Wilson vs. SEA (RB25) – Wilson will get the lead role with Elijah Mitchell on the shelf, but we’re tempering expectations and keeping him in fringe RB2 territory.
50. DK Metcalf @SF (WR23)
51. Jerry Jeudy vs. HOU (WR24)
52. Darrell Henderson vs. ATL (RB26)
53. Miles Sanders vs. MIN (RB27)
54. Damien Harris @PIT (RB28)
55. Diontae Johnson vs. NE (WR25)
56. Christian Kirk vs. IND (WR26) – He was clearly Trevor Lawrence’s favorite target in Week 1 and moves up into the front-end WR3 range.
57. Darren Waller vs. ARI (TE3)
58. Rashod Bateman vs. MIA (WR27)
59. JuJu Smith-Schuster vs. LAC (WR28)
60. Travis Etienne vs. IND (RB29)
61. Darnell Mooney @GB (WR29)
62. Chase Edmonds @BAL (RB30)
63. Melvin Gordon vs. HOU (RB31)
64. Julio Jones @NO (WR30) – No Chris Godwin would put Jones in play as a WR3 option.
65. Adam Thielen @PHI (WR31)
66. Devin Singletary vs. TEN (RB32)
67. Allen Robinson vs. ATL (WR32)
68. Michael Carter @CLE (RB33)
69. Elijah Moore @CLE (WR33)
70. Drake London @LAR (WR34)
71. James Robinson vs. IND (RB34) – Yes, Robinson outscored Etienne in Week 1, but don’t expect this timeshare to work out that way every week.
72. Amari Cooper vs. NYJ (WR35)
73. Kyle Pitts @LAR (TE4)
74. Tony Pollard vs. CIN (RB35)
75. Brandon Aiyuk vs. SEA (WR36)
76. Chase Claypool vs. NE (WR37)
77. Hunter Renfrow vs. ARI (WR38)
78. Tyler Lockett @SF (WR39)
79. Rhamondre Stevenson @PIT (RB36) – We could see an uptick in Stevenson’s work in the passing game with Ty Montgomery now on injured reserve.
80. Tyler Boyd @DAL (WR40)
81. Breece Hall @CLE (RB37)
82. Dallas Goedert vs. MIN (TE5)
83. Jamaal Williams vs. WAS (RB38)

85. D.J. Chark vs. WAS (WR42)
86. Jahan Dotson @DET (WR43)
87. Cam Akers vs. ATL (RB39) – Yes, he screwed you over in Week 1, but let’s wait and see how the Rams use their running backs over the next month.
