Kelly Oubre Jr. Says There's Unfinished Business In Philadelphia

Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. continued to raise his stock despite a tumultuous season that saw the team finish in 13th place in the East and miss the playoffs. He has a player option for the 2025-26 season, and when asked about it during a press conference, he said, "This is a business, but at the end of the day I'm happy. And I like to finish what I start, and I don't feel complete. So godspeed." This seems very encouraging for the Sixers, but it also seems like he's waiting to see how the offseason plays out and would like to negotiate a pay raise. This offseason is extremely important for the Sixers and could ultimately change the way the franchise looks from top to bottom. Oubre averaged 15.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game as a starter, so his role on the team is not in question.

Kelly Oubre Jr. Remains Sidelined On Friday

Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee) will miss his fifth consecutive outing as the team ruled him out with the same knee sprain he suffered against the Toronto Raptors on March 12. The 76ers are far from the playoff race and are one of the most injured teams in the league at the moment, Oubre likely won't be rushed back for any reason. While he watches from the sidelines, Jared Butler, Justin Edwards, and Quentin Grimes have all been quality streaming options. Since Grimes is likely the most rostered, Butler and Edwards give some good value in scoring and guard stats. Edwards recently posted 19 points, two assists, two rebounds, and two steals in their last game on Wednesday.

Kelly Oubre Jr. Ruled Out Versus Thunder

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forwardKelly Oubre Jr.(knee) will miss his third straight game on Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The veteran scorer has been dealing with a knee sprain, and there isn't a timetable for when he will return. With Oubre on Philadelphia's lengthy injury list, Justin Edwards,Ricky Council IV, andJalen Hood-Schifinoall can take on more significant roles in the rotation. Council IV looks like the best fantasy option of the three, as he posted a double-double two games ago against the Dallas Mavericks.
