Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell (shin) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Russell played 21 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's game after missing the previous four games. That being said, it appears the Nets are going to play it safe and rest Russell in the second leg of the back-to-back set. Keon Johnson and Ziaire Williams should both see increased roles on Wednesday. Also, Ben Simmons will likely do most of the ball handling which should increase his fantasy value.

Russell is back in the mix after missing each of the last four games due to a shin contusion. Before this, Russell was in a bit of a slump with 11 points or less in three of his last four games. It doesn't seem like the move to Brooklyn as helped his scoring, but he does seem to be getting more assists as one of the primary playmakers. Fantasy managers who have Russell rostered can get him back in their lineups on Tuesday.

Russell is working his way back from a shin injury he suffered on Jan. 4 against Philadelphia. Keon Johnson has taken on a significant workload since Russell exited the lineup, though he has been hit-or-miss from a fantasy perspective. Russell's injury has also allowed Reece Beekman to enter the rotation, but his production has been limited.
