If you're interested in betting on golf, I will be posting a PGA article on FTN Bets on a weekly basis. This will be focused on where I’m putting my money each week, and it’ll be up to you to decide whether or not you’d like to join me.
Generally, I tend to put $100 on each bet that I list below. This is a common occurrence for me, and all it takes is one for me to come out on top (and it generally pays out nicely)! Let’s get right to it:
Justin Rose to win (+2600)
My favorite play for both betting and daily fantasy is going to be Rose this week. As I mentioned in my DFS article, the stats are there for Rose since the restart. He is also in the top-15 in strokes gained tee-to-green, and this course should really play into that.
Collin Morikawa to win (+3500)
I’ve said it since the beginning of the year, but Morikawa is the next big thing on the PGA tour. He is a cut-making machine, and he is very close to one of his first big wins. This course plays well to his game, so I love his overall odds. This is definitely a bit of a long shot, but I’m a big fan of Morikawa this weekend.
Matt Kuchar to finish in the top 5 (+900)
Kuchar ranks as one of the best in bogey avoidance on tour, and he should be a solid play in both DFS and betting because this course fits his style. I don’t think he will be able to pull off the victory, but I’m comfortable rocking with Ku(uuu)ch for a top 5 finish. Given the field, it’s more of a long shot than anything else, but I still like his chances.
Billy Horschel to finish in the top 10 (+600)
I spoke a little about Billy Ho in my DFS article and I feel a top-10 finish is a realistic bet for him this weekend. He has struggled since the restart, but a bounce-back performance is right around the corner. I believe it’s coming this weekend.
Additional Long Shots – Harold Varner III to win (+7500), Byeong Hun An to finish in the top 5 (+1400), Brian Stuard to finish in the top 10 (+1400)
