Zach Ertz Sees Eight Targets, Catches Two In Week 5

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz tied for a team-high eight targets on Sunday in the Week 5 win over the Cleveland Browns but could only bring in two of those targets for a mere 10 yards. This was his lowest output of the campaign in terms of receptions and yards. The Commanders had a sizeable lead through most of the afternoon, which led them to keep the ball on the ground and limit Ertz's production. However, it was promising to see Ertz get several looks from his QB. The veteran remains a high-end TE2 heading into their Week 6 tilt with the Baltimore Ravens.

Dyami Brown Finds End Zone On Sunday

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown caught both targets for 57 yards and a score. Brown found the end zone for the first time this season in the second quarter on a 41-yard strike from Jayden Daniels. Brown has typically been deployed as the No.3/No.4 wideout but had a few more opportunities this afternoon with Noah Brown (groin) sidelined. Brown should be left on most waiver wires for now, but he could be worth a speculative flier in deeper leagues if Brown remains out in Week 6.

Terry McLaurin Leads Washington Wideouts In Victory

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught four passes for 112 yards in their victory over the Cleveland Browns. McLaurin again led the team in yards and tied for a team-high eight targets. McLaurin's longest reception of the game was for 66 yards. The Commanders had a nice lead throughout most of the game and did not need to rely on their passing attack in the second half, which limited McLaurin's fantasy production. However, he remains a high-end WR2 heading into a potential shootout against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.

Jeremy McNichols Scores In Second Straight Game

Washington Commanders running back Jeremy McNichols found the end zone for the second straight game on Sunday afternoon. McNichols saw most of the attempts late in the game as the Commanders had a sizeable lead against the Browns. In the second half, McNichols ran the ball seven times for 44 yards and a touchdown. Despite his limited opportunities, the 28-year-old continued his hot stretch after scoring twice and totaling 68 yards in Week 4. However, given how he only saw the field late into the game, he remains a solid stash option and a desperation flex play in deeper formats.

Austin Ekeler Falls Just Under 100 Yards In Return

Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler ran the ball six times for 67 yards and added 30 yards on two receptions. This was a nice return for Ekeler, as he missed last week's game due to a concussion. Ekeler's best run of the day was a 50-yard carry, his longest carry of the season. The former Charger saw just one less carry than Brian Robinson Jr. due to Robinson battling a knee injury during the week. The 29-year-old remains a low-end RB3 with upside in PPR formats, given his skills as a pass-catcher.
