TopProp Fantasy Sports is officially live, bringing you a new way to wager on fantasy football. Are you confident that you have the best team in your league? Great, bet on it. Are you confident that your league mate Bob is going to blow John out of the water this week? Great, bet on it.

Put down your group chat where you talk trash and put your money where your mouth is. That’s what TopProp gives you the ability to do. It also gives you the ability to wager on “Expert” leagues. These can be leagues made up of your favorite fantasy football analysts, industry experts, or anyone else that you simply want to wager on. One of those leagues is made up of our experts here at FTN.

Each week, I will provide you with an update on the TopProp FTN Expert League, highlighting a key matchup to wager on, recapping the last week, and reviewing the current standings of the league.

Let’s check in to the Expert League as we head into Week 5 of the NFL season.

Week 4 Recap | TopProp FTN Expert League

The results from Week 4 of the Expert League are below. The tale of Week 4 was the margins of victory within the FTN Expert League, as the closest margin of victory came between Gilles Gallant and Matt Jones with a margin of 23.72 points in favor of Gallant.

The high-scoring team of the week was Daniel Kelley, who posted an absurd 176.02 points on the backs of Cordarrelle Patterson and DJ Moore, sending Eliot Crist to an 0-4 start. Sitting as the only remaining team without a win, Crist may be looking at a lost season early on. Below is a recap of the overall results from Week 4:

Last week’s matchup of the week featured a tightly projected contest between Derek Brown and Chris Meaney. The latter was awarded the four bonus points as the spread from TopProp, but his team came up short and was unable to cover in a 137.78 to 106.14 loss to Brown. Better days are ahead for Meaney, who should expect Dalvin Cook to round back into form, but will they come in Week 5? That remains to be seen.

Week 5 Matchup of the Week | TopProp FTN Expert League

After a tightly projected matchup of the week last week, we turn our attention to much of the same in Week 5 between two teams desperate for a W. As it stands right now, Ray Garvin (1-3) is favored by less than three points over Eliot Crist (0-4). Crist’s projection has taken a hit with the recent news of Calvin Ridley’s expected absence Sunday, which will force him to slot Kadarius Toney, Randall Cobb or Curtis Samuel into his starting spot.

With Garvin sporting the Aaron Rodgers/Davante Adams stack against a weak Bengals secondary, could he run away with the matchup and force Crist into an 0-5 hole?

As of now, TopProp has this as a toss-up, with neither team getting any bonus points. Once Ridley is replaced, however, there’s a high likelihood that Garvin will be given some points assuming Crist moves into the position of the projected favorite. For that reason, I suggest hopping on this line early and taking Crist with the even odds to hopefully find himself in the win column.
