TopProp Battleground and Expert League – Week 13 Update

TopProp Fantasy Sports is officially live, bringing you a new way to wager on fantasy football. Are you confident that you have the best team in your league? Great, bet on it. Are you confident that your leaguemate Bob is going to blow John out of the water this week? Great, bet on it.

These can be leagues made up of your favorite fantasy football analysts, industry experts, or anyone else you simply want to wager on. One of those leagues is made up of our experts here at FTN.

Each week, I will provide you with an update on the TopProp FTN Expert League, highlighting a key matchup to wager on, recapping the last week, and reviewing the current standings of the league.

Additionally, their recent launch of Battleground allows users to face off head-to-head in player-prop contests with pre-populated spreads set on their fantasy-point matchups. I will also provide two contests that I am eyeing for Week 13 on Battlegrounds and which way I lean.

Battleground Matchups of the Week | TopProp FTN Expert League

Both matchups I am targeting include Thursday Night Football, with the first being my love for Tre’Quan Smith. Both Adam Pfeifer and Derek Brown talked Smith on the Fade the Chalk podcast, highlighting how he should step in as the first read for Taysom Hill Thursday. 

If you want to see how successful Hills’ first reads are, just look at Michael Thomas in 2020. In the four games that Hill started, Thomas logged 37 total targets and posted at least 84 yards in three of four games. He garnered a massive 32.7% target share in those games and with Smith now the de-factor WR1 in New Orleans, he could step into a similar role.

My second lean in the Battleground for Week 13 happens to align with Derek Brown’s love for Taysom Hill, outlined below:

People are quick to forget how effective Hill was in four games as a starter last season. In those games, he threw for either 230-plus yards or rushed for 2 touchdowns in every single game. With Alvin Kamara ruled out, we should see a lot of the latter, as Hill is arguably the Saints’ best runner available for the game. With so much upside on the ground, I’m banking on his ceiling against both Tua Tagovailoa and Joe Burrow in Week 13.

Week 13 Preview | TopProp FTN Expert League

Week 13 makes us one week closer to the playoffs, and it’s very clear who the teams to take seriously in this league are. 

The top two play each other this week, as Daniel Kelley has the chance to knock off the No. 1 team and claim a tie for the No. 1 record. With both teams white-hot going into the week, this is by far the best matchup to bet on this week. As it stands, Kelley is favored by over 10 points on the home platform, while TopProp is more bullish on Kelley’s run, giving him the 16-point edge.
