Top 25 ADP Fallers in Best Ball (May 2024)

25. Cade Otton, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs drafted TE Devin Culp in the seventh round, though that’s unlikely to explain Otton’s drop alone.

24. Jaylen Wright, RB, Miami Dolphins

The speedster (4.38 forty) will fit right in with the Dolphins, but it’s a crowded RB room.

23. Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins

The addition of Wright and the expected increased workload for De’Von Achane has Mostert slipping a bit.

22. Aaron Rodgers, QB, New York Jets

He has dropped nearly one full round. In general, there’s a lot of negative press about Rodgers, now 40. People are also still concerned about how well he can actually return from the Achilles. The video below led to him losing a few spots alone:

21. James Conner, RB, Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals added RB Trey Benson in the third round. Day 2 picks at RB are legitimate threats to incumbents.

20. DeMario Douglas, WR, New England Patriots

The Pats added two WRs in the draft this year who can realistically compete with Douglas out of the gate — one of them (Ja’Lynn Polk) especially so.

19. Josh Downs, WR, Indianapolis Colts

The addition of Adonai Mitchell caused Downs to go … down. (I’m here all week, folks!)

18. Audric Estimé, RB, Denver Broncos

He was slow in the Combine, then was a Day 3 draft pick (Round 5), and then at the very end of May, he had knee surgery. He’s expected back for camp, but it was a rough month.

17. Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers

The Packers spent a Day 2 pick (third round) on RB MarShawn Lloyd out of USC.

16. Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns

Mary Kay Cabot reported in mid-May that Chubb has been running for several weeks, but that we won’t see any real tests for him until training camp at the earliest. The uncertainty around his status is leading to the ADP drop.

15. Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

There’s no specific reason why Mayfield is falling, other than perhaps people think his great 2023 season (4,000 yards, 28-10 TD-INT ratio) was a bit of a fluke. (I don’t think it was.)

14. Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens

The official Ravens website has already reported that Mitchell won’t be ready for Week 1.

13. Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears

The rookie hype from immediately after the draft died off. Reality has started to sink in that Odunze is competing for targets with two top-end vets in Keenan Allen and DJ Moore.

12. Jonnu Smith, TE, Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins added Malik Washington in the draft and Odell Beckham Jr. through free agency. TE Elijah Higgins was also drafted in Round 6.

11. Malik Washington, WR, Miami Dolphins

Smith’s comments above apply to Washington, too. The Dolphins are already quite concentrated on offense, and they added even more in the offseason.

10. Brock Bowers, TE, Las Vegas Raiders

An elite prospect, Bowers’ ADP is suffering because the Raiders don’t have a viable answer at QB still.

9. Michael Wilson, WR, Arizona Cardinals

Marvin Harrison Jr. is going to immediately soak up targets, and so will Trey McBride at TE.

8. Adonai Mitchell, WR, Indianapolis Colts

The team already has Michael Pittman and Josh Downs. They also added WR Anthony Gould in the fifth round. Mitchell has drawn more praise out of OTAs toward the end of May, though, so perhaps we see his ADP rise in June.

7. Justin Fields, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Russell Wilson is the likely Week 1 starter. (Though I’m not convinced Fields will be the backup all year.)

6. Chuba Hubbard, RB, Carolina Panthers

The Panthers selected RB Jonathan Brooks out of Texas in the second round. They even traded up to make it happen.

5. Michael Mayer, TE, Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders selected TE Brock Bowers 13th overall

4. Troy Franklin, WR, Denver Broncos

There was some post-draft hype, but reality has started to set in that Franklin was a Day 3 pick and Denver has no good QBs. Unless Bo Nix is great out of the gate.

3. Braelon Allen, RB, New York Jets

Allen, a Round 4 pick, lands on one of the few teams that has a workhouse RB already.

2. Rashee Rice, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Rice is facing a likely suspension.

1. Drake Maye, QB, New England Patriots

In May, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported Maye is likely to start the season as the backup in New England, learning behind vet Jacoby Brissett. Maye will probably start at some point in the season, but the news led to a big ADP drop.
