Trey Palmer A Risky DFS Option

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Trey Palmer has found the end zone in two of his last three games. Last week, Palmer hauled in one of his two targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The rookie wideout was quiet in the game outside of his huge score. It's worth noting that Palmer has 40 receiving yards or more in three of his last four games. However, he's still the third option on this offense behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin (knee) who is currently on the injury report. If Godwin sits, Palmer would likely see a bigger role in the offense. Otherwise, Palmer will likely remain an afterthought as he only has three total receptions in his last two games.

Mike Evans Needs Bounce-Back Game

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans wasn't able to make much of an impact during last week's playoff victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran wideout hauled in three of his seven targets for 48 yards in the win. Evans is normally the deep threat option for this offense, but was held in check by defensive back Darius Slay. Instead, Evans watched David Moore, Trey Palmer, and Chris Godwin all score long touchdowns. The expectation is that Evans will remain an important piece to the passing game. Evans is looking like a boom-or-bust DFS option for the upcoming Divisional Round matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Rachaad White Likely To Remain Heavily Involved

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White continues to be the workhorse back in this offense. White has posted back-to-back games with over 70 rushing yards, which is nice to see. However, White hasn't seen much involvement in the passing game, which is hurting his fantasy value. He has also been held out of the end zone for three straight games. It won't get any easier for White in a divisional round matchup against the Detroit Lions this weekend. His high usage makes him an interesting DFS candidate, but the lack of pass-catching and scoring is a concern.

Chris Godwin Returns To Practice Thursday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) returned to a limited practice session on Thursday after he was deemed a non-participant on Wednesday. Godwin was most likely just being rested in the first practice of the week on Wednesday, so he should be fully ready to go for Sunday's Divisional Round game against the Detroit Lions in a great matchup. The 27-year-old took a back seat to teammate Mike Evans over the majority of the 2023 regular season, but he stood out in Monday night's wild-card win over the Philadelphia Eagles, catching four of his five targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in the 32-9 rout. The Lions defense allowed the third-most half-PPR fantasy points to opposing receivers during the regular season, so Godwin is a solid DFS target at his current $6,300 DraftKings salary for this weekend's slate.

Baker Mayfield Practicing In Full

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle, ribs) was a full participant in the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. Mayfield tweaked his ankle in the Week 18 regular season finale but played in Monday night's wild-card win over the Philadelphia Eagles and had a great game, going 22-for-36 for 337 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. The tough 28-year-old signal-caller won't have any issues being ready to suit for the Divisional Round contest in Detroit against the Lions on Sunday, and he'll be an interesting low-cost DFS sleeper at the QB position for the second straight week in another friendly matchup in the dome in Detroit. In the game against the Lions way back in Week 6, Mayfield had only 206 passing yards with no touchdowns and an interception.
