Seahawks vs Vikings Week 3 Betting Odds, Picks, and Trends

The Seahawks and Vikings both come into week 3 off of heartbreaking losses. The Seahawks looked great early in the game, but proceeded to blow a 14-point lead and allow Derrick Henry to go nuclear. And the Vikings were inches away from winning, but Greg Joseph could not convert a 37-yard field goal for the win as time expired. Which of these teams is going to bounce back in week 3?

  • Spread: Seahawks -2
  • O/U: 55.5

Opening Odds

After opening as a 1-point dog, the Seahawks are now favorites by 2 points. However, it is clear oddsmakers see these teams as somewhat even, and they have both gotten off to similar starts. While the Vikings are 0-2, they are just a few plays away from being 2-0.

Quarterback Analysis – Kirk Cousins vs. Russell Wilson

Despite the 0-2 start to the year, Kirk Cousins has played some of his best football that we’ve seen recently. He is averaging almost 300 YPG, and has thrown 5 touchdowns to zero picks. Kirk Cousins was especially good early on in week 2, particularly on his throw to K.J. Osborn in the first quarter. Kirk Cousins had more time to throw than in week 1, and the offense looked better as a result.

There is not much to say about Russell Wilson and his performance early in the 2021 season. His six touchdowns ranks third in the league, and his ridiculous quarterback rating of 146.9 is by far the best in the league. It is not as if Wilson had anything to prove going into his 10th year, but it is clear that he is still one of the top Quarterbacks in the league.

Latest Vikings Betting News & Info

Despite losing in week 2, the Vikings were able to cover the spread in a game that many experts pegged as an easy Cardinals win. That makes them 1-1 against the spread on the year, after getting upset by the Bengals in week 1.

We should make sure to keep an eye on Dalvin Cook throughout the game. Although he was able to finish the game on the field in week 2, he had to get taken out on two separate occasions due to injury. He is likely to pop up on the injury report during the week, but there has been zero indication that we should expect him to miss any time. Latest Seahawks Betting News & Info

After a very strong week 1 performance, the Seahawks lost last week in a heartbreaking fashion. After trailing to the Seahawks for the entire game, the Titans were able to force overtime and ultimately came away victorious. It snapped a 12-game home win streak for Seattle, despite the Seahawks’ famously loud fans being back in their seats for the first time since 2019.

While all the hype in the offseason was for D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett has been unstoppable through the first two weeks of the season. He had a second straight 100-yard performance and also caught his third touchdown of the year.

Vikings vs. Seahawks betting picks – NFL Week 3

This game is likely to be a shootout, so betting the over is likely the way to go. The public is all over the Seahawks, with 66% of bets being placed on their side of the spread. However, I actually like the Vikings here. These teams are pretty even, and with the Vikings being home, which is usually worth about three points, I love taking the Vikings as a mini upset pick.

Here are our betting picks for Saints vs. Patriots in Week 3.
