This afternoon, two divisional foes will square off with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders are traveling to Philadelphia to take on Jalen Hurts and the Eagles for the third time this season. I have a same-game parlay ready to roll in this one, let’s get into the plays!
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Commanders Same-Game Parlay
Austin Ekeler 3+ Receptions
Ekeler has exceeded three or more receptions in seven of 14 games this season, averaging three catches per game. The Eagles allowed the 12th-most receptions per game to opposing running backs (4.5 RPG). Philadelphia allowed the seventh-fewest rushing yards this season, which will make things difficult for the Commanders’ rushing attack. Daniels has excelled at quick completions, and I expect more of that today with short passes to Ekeler to act as an extension to their running game.
Brian Robinson Jr. 8+ Rush Attempts
Robinson has had eight or more rush attempts in 13 of 16 games this season, averaging 13.3 carries per game. In five career games against the Eagles, Robinson has had at least 10 carries in each of them, averaging 15 carries per game. While I expect the Commanders to struggle to gain yards on the ground, they won’t completely ignore the running game. An opposing running back has had eight or more carries in 10 of the last 12 games against Philadelphia.
Jayden Daniels 30+ Pass Attempts
The Commanders are 6.5-point road underdogs in this one, so they are expected to play from behind. which will cause an emphasis on the passing game. Daniels attempted 30 or more passes in 12 of 17 games, averaging 28.7 attempts per game. As Daniels got comfortable within the offense, we saw his attempts rise. Over the last 10 games, Daniels has exceeded 30 or more pass attempts in eight of them, averaging 31 attempts per game.
DeVonta Smith 4+ Receptions
Smith has had four or more catches in 12 of 15 games, averaging five receptions per game. He’s exceeded four receptions in six consecutive head-to-head meetings against the Commanders, averaging 6.3 receptions per game. Per StatsHub, Smith is second amongst Eagles receivers in target share (18.1%) and first in route participation (71.6%) and snap share (65.9%).
Saquon Barkley 2+ Receptions
Barkley has exceeded two receptions in 14 of 18 games this season, averaging 2.2 receptions per game. He finished fourth on the team in target share (8.7%) and second in route participation (65.9%). Saquon has had two or more receptions in seven of his last eight games against the Commanders, averaging three receptions per game. The focus of the Washington defense will be slowing down Barkley in the running game, but with Jalen Hurts dealing with a knee injury, I expect the Eagles to try to get quick and easy completions today. The screen game and checkdowns to Barkley will help to keep pressure off Hurts and his banged-up knee, creating opportunities for Saquon to clear this reception number.
